The Sutra of the Visualisation of the Buddha of Infinite Life

The Sutra of the Visualisation of the Buddha of Infinite Life （佛说观无量寿佛经), also known as the Amitayurdhyana Sutra (or simply the Visualisation Sutra or Contemplation Sutra) forms one of three primary sutras in Pure Land Buddhism.

Amitāyus is another name for the Buddha Amitābha, and this sūtra focuses mainly on meditations involving 16 Visualisation methods which allow us to see the Pure Land and seek rebirth to the Pure Land.
The last part of the sutra, Gautama Buddha discusses the nine levels into which those born into the Pure Land are categorized. The levels are ranked from highest to lowest.
