I would consider myself left leaning on much of politics, so i am likey their target audience. But the game they made is utterly insufferable, and it's so hamfisted much of the dialog doesnt feel human.

Just remember, there are VTubers playing this game right now with more watchers than this game will ever have players and they're ripping into it as they play. This makes me happy.

I feel like all the "woke" stuff in this game (I put that word in quotes because I myself am left-wing and hate the word and its connotations) were only put in to deflect genuine criticism with "you're just racist/homophobic". To be clear, I have no problem with DEI as long as the product it's attached to is actually good.

This isn't anything new from the company. They are able to get funding because their game The Longest Journey is still one of the highest rated and selling adventure games of all time. The guy with the glasses is extremely obnoxious due to this and the two sequels he made were also funded by tax payers. He has zero self reflection abilities, so yeah.
