Thank you for posting this. I've been trying to do research on how to even get started and I've mainly been finding posts like Just do it, it is up to you on how to get your channel together....When I actually needed ideas of what programs I should be using and a checklist of the things needed to get started.

I have a question on asking permission to tell story's. I've recently just found 5 really good story's that I want to cover on my channel, but when I asked for permission they never responded which made me wonder if I could still just cover the story's but leave a link of the original story from reddit in the description, or is that still plagiarism?

I shot my first horror story vid almost a year ago now. I used shotcut video editor which was free and had many useful features for beginners. Recording on audacity was difficult because I had to edit my voice for each video so it would sound scary but it ended up sounding very inconsistent throughout and the whole program is a little complex for my knowledge. What audio recorder other than audacity would you recommend? Also, what techniques would be helpful for voice recording?

If you’re on the phone route and are on iOS, Premiere Pro Rush on iPhone is good for editing, the only thing about it is it takes awhile to render and u cant do anything to ur phone while its rendering. But its worth it cuz most of the features are free and u can make good vids without paying for it

Thank you for the video! :) I’m a bit self cautious about my voice. I don’t have a high voice by any means but I feel like my voice isn’t right, but I know I could create a creepy atmosphere for the stories I read.

can you suggest any specific reddit communities we can use as resources, and how can we ask permissions?

Do you think it’s a good idea to do any voice modulation in editing? Like pitching my voice deeper in editing. Or would you steer clear?

I'm actually an author I thought about writing sorry storys from other characters point of view and making those into good sort storys for a channel and at the beginning or end of the video putting where it connects and to what story

I disagree with using a cell phone. The quality will be terrible. You can improve it by getting a pop shield and recording under a duvet (no joke). But if you want to do this properly, you need a good mic like a sure, and a preamp. I use a dbx. Make a mic booth box, with soundproof foam, and put the mic in there. If you can't do that, cover yourself in a duvet. Bit of post production (audacity works, I use Fruity Loops) and you'll get that high quality voice. ... like yours lol Great video though.
