All those tones sound phenomenal
ОтветитьAs a novice guitar player I know I am a million miles away from the level Andy wood has attained but the shear skill and love of the instrument that he shows has inspired me to lift my game even just a little bit , so what I am saying to both Andy and you Rick is thankyou so much, it's interviews like this that makes the guitar playing world so much more worthwhile. Priceless!
ОтветитьPack of Bananas is a great band name
ОтветитьMan this guy is so interesting.
What a great interview
I love how humble and down to earth he is
ОтветитьI bought your album Andy. Is great.
ОтветитьA perfect example of work ethic! This monster didn’t wake up one day and play like this!! He practiced while we all slept and wasted our time! I have talked to people that know Andy Personally and literally everyone says he is the nicest guy ever. Very good interview! Well done sir
ОтветитьGreat interview as always. Have you ever thought about interviewing Buckethead?
ОтветитьI was part of the 57%, then I saw Andy and subbed.
ОтветитьWhat a salesman! Man he has excellent communication skills!
ОтветитьAndy is the Final Boss
ОтветитьThere is some incredible guitar players in Africa! Unfortunately many have passed away but some are still alive. If you are interested Rick I can make you a selection and send it to you.
ОтветитьMan, Andy is the complete package. Seems totally down to Earth and such a huge fan of music, but absolutely shreds. Really great interview, Rick!
ОтветитьI’ve never heard someone explain their pedalboard sounds so well!
ОтветитьAnother awasome show Rick! Andy is something else
ОтветитьDang does he take a breath between notes? So many notes I couldn’t think or comprehend. Just wow
ОтветитьAwesome to see Andy Wood on here, I discovered him through guitar world about a year ago
ОтветитьNo Andy it’s not just you. What makes literally anything great is community and being able to share great things with others and bless others because being able to give of yourself is the only truly fulfilling thing in life!
ОтветитьNever heard of Andy. When he started playing, though, I went, "Woah..."
ОтветитьDamn that's some good stuff Rick.(yeah, you too Andy)...
ОтветитьDamn boy
ОтветитьSo when Guthrie Govan?
ОтветитьDamn. I'm going to own that guitar someday. I just have to win a lottery first 😍❤️🌹🎸
Andy is just unbelievable good!
andy is an absolute fn beast
ОтветитьBeing able to play those Eric Jonson pentatonic lines at all, at the correct speed, takes a special player. I.e. the technical level needed to do this is quite high. But the fact that Andy could not only do it, but reliably and precisely emulate the differences between Joe Bonamassas and EJs pick attack just floored me. This guy is a monster on the guitar!
ОтветитьAmazing guitarist and mandolin player! His mandolin playing made me realize you need to have Chris Thile on!
Ответить"Someone Who Can ACTUALLY Play The Guitar" Man, do I REALLY want to see that Giacomo interview.
ОтветитьJust wow!
ОтветитьAndy Wood 🤘🤘🤘 taking Steve Morse to a WHOLE ‘NOTHER LEVEL!!!
ОтветитьBut can Andy play Stonehenge on Mandolin?
ОтветитьAndy is the greatest, most underrated guitar players of all time! He is well deserved of an interview!
ОтветитьBeen a fan of the wood shed for a few years now. My boy has been a killer.... Straight KILLER for years.
ОтветитьNot in the 57%
ОтветитьThose that have been playing all our lives that can never attain this level just sigh. When one has this God-given talent and proceeds to work harder at their craft than the vast majority---wow! Sorry that I don't have better words.
ОтветитьWhat a great interview, probably top 10 for approachability and likeability. Epic. Ps. Please have Greg Howe on, please.
ОтветитьThis guy is just so real….
I love his vibe
As another guitar player, its so weird but great to hear one of the greats talk about Rachmaninoff. Him, Grieg and Liszt were some of the original shredders but like he mentioned, they served the composition first.
Also, glad he mentioned André Nieri, he would be another great guy to have there, Rick.
Great stuff as usual!
Dammmn
ОтветитьWOW! This dude can recreate quantum fluctuations with a freaking guitar!!!!😮🤯
ОтветитьHeard about Andy Wood from Troy Grady so I knew he could pick. Impressive for sure.
ОтветитьAndy is awesome.
ОтветитьAndy is masterful and an inspirational spirit
ОтветитьSlash is special player full of felling and soul
ОтветитьThank you Rick & Andy
ОтветитьI've been playing guitar since 2003 but I never could get used to picks. I play acoustic, electric and bass I tried using picks, didn't like it.
ОтветитьDude, the video's title is a total burn to the guy we all know this was meant for! Hahaha. Awesome stuff.
ОтветитьHis swagger is epic and his playing is deadly. How have I not heard of this guy?
ОтветитьAlmost 3 decades ago I asked a great mandolin player who's instruments I serviced if he would be interested in an electric mandolin; one that stays in tune well and each individual string is intonated if not of the same gauge as the other in the course, and also if he could get his whole bluegrass band to go electric and play through fuzz boxes n' reverb...! Andy is electrifying a lot of bluegrassy elements here, just not with electric banjo's, mandolins, fiddles... and rather smokin' too! Maybe call it Redgrass, and for an offshoot that's more psychedelic: Purplegrass...then Blackglass, goregrass, grasspunk...and yes Prograss!!! 😜Have at it!
I wouldn't mind making an electric lute for that matter, any lute players reading this that think it's a good idea?🤨 Come on, you know you always wanted to play metal on a freaking lute, or add a lute player to your prog band!! Yngwie needs one!!!🤣
