...mmmmm...my mouth is watering! My hubby got burned out on pot roasts growing up, but I think he would really love this one! I know I would. Thanks for another great recipe, Noreen!
ОтветитьWhat would you recommend to use when trying to recreate these recipes that involves a pressure cooker or a slow cooker? I would love to try these out but I dont own either appliance.
ОтветитьThat looks tasty. Amazon has that fish brand.
ОтветитьNoreen have you ever made any meats with Dr. Pepper? I think DP ribs are popular here in TX.
ОтветитьYummy!
ОтветитьDoes it come out tender? It looks like it might be a little tough.
ОтветитьJust love a good pot roast! Yum
ОтветитьI have all the BTB bases, too -- love that stuff. Amazon has the fish base and it's even eligible for Prime! This roast looks amazing and I can't wait to try it. I don't own steak rub, so must go forage for some...
ОтветитьI love pot roast...that looks really good Noreen!
ОтветитьNot a fan of coffee flavored things, myself, but otherwise it looks and sounds good. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьThat and pretty much all the fat renders out when the meat is cooking, so it's not like you're eating straight fat--it's all infused in the juices and makes everything awesome.
ОтветитьAmazon lists the Fish Bouillon plus a large number of other flavors.
use search words better than bouillon
I've never used a pressure cooker before and don't understand it, honestly it intimidates me but I had no idea you could sear meat with it how cool!!! Now I'm intrigued and think it's time to break down my walls and get one! Looks delish! Wonder if instant coffee would work with this??
ОтветитьCan I use decaf coffee? I'm worried about caffeine.
Ответитьlooks wonderful Noreen !!! hugs n xx n gnight
ОтветитьWow that was a lot of grease leftover from the searing! I would have definitely drained it!
Ответитьthat looks so good!! does it taste like coffee? I have used BTB for over 15 years now. they have a lobster and clam base too. I love the ham base they make. I hear they are no longer going to make the 16 oz jars, only 8 oz. I add the vegetable base to my chili as it adds a depth that nothing else can add.
ОтветитьI love the better then bullion as well. They make great fish, ham and lobster bases. My local butcher carries them all. I get my chicken and beef at Costco. :-)
ОтветитьI love your recipe. I don't like my vegetables so over cooked so I cook the meat for 30 minutes and let the steam self release. I remove half the broth to make gravy. The vegetables go in the pot for 8 minutes and then we eat. My cooker is 6 quarts, the right size for me and future meals. Keep cooking and sharing.
