I saw your othe video regarding lawn preparation for fall, so do still fertilize in spring ?
ОтветитьMy neighbors yard looked like your after about 4 weeks ago....mine still looks like the before lol 😭 idk what im doing wrong....been fertilizing, raking, cleaning up. Idk...
ОтветитьWhat about Lyme. I live in Maryland in an area where it’s very acidic. So Right now I have 50% grass 50% weeds .
ОтветитьLove all your videos, especially the lawn care one. More gadgets please. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьThe Anderson product seems like a very expensive product for what it contains. 16-8-4 means 16 percent nitrogen, 8 percent phosphate and 4 percent potash. That means you are geting 28 percent active ingredients and the rest is by products of the refining process. The current market price for18 pounds appears to be about $45. 40 pounds of 10-10-10 at Walmart is $19 or at Home Depot for $25. These stores are selling the same amount of active ingredients for 25percent les than the Anderson. Without a soils test, you don't know exactly what you need but, my local County Extension Service recommends 10-10-10 for our soils in central Georgia. (10-13 pounds per 1000 square feet. March and October.)
ОтветитьI’ve been spraying iron sulphate this year at 5g per square metre to kill the moss. Then lawn weed killer to get rid of the broadleaf weeds such as clover and dandelion. Then I’ll scarify and spread some 9-7-7 fertiliser and overseed any thin bits. We live in the U.K. and in previous years I haven’t gone to so much trouble, but last summer was very hot and dry and some of the weeds and moss have been around forever.
ОтветитьHey can you provide a link to where to buy that rope device you used to tie your tall bush grass. We brought a house that have several of these. No easy way to cut them every year, they’re messy
ОтветитьSil
Ответитьwhat about it you get dandelions?
ОтветитьWhat are those grass plants called? Love them😊
ОтветитьWhat are those grass plants by the pool? Looking for something similar around my pool. Thanks
ОтветитьImpressive lawn .Thanks for your ideas, people will have a beautiful lawn full of green accordingly, I like you video.
Just for who need SEBOSS hardware cloth,1/2,1/4 opening ,19 GA, Hot dip galvanized after welding, double galvanized, strong and sturdy, delicate and beautiful, suitable as gopher wire, protect lawn/garden from all kinds of gophers.
For some reason it was in my feed but why should you even get a golf grass. Kinda loses the purpose of the greenery, might as well get astroturf at this point
ОтветитьI followed your fall plan (plug aerating, overseed, and starter fertilizer), it worked great. My question, usually I put down fertilizer and crabgrass control in the spring, will the crabgrass control cause any problems with the continued growth of the seeding from last fall? I am in Maine.
ОтветитьThanks for your videos. So very helpful. I have tons of weeds in my lawn. I used the product you recommended tenacity with the surfactant and though it seems to have worked, the weeds are still very visible. I’m wondering if I should spray it again with tenacity?
ОтветитьHello, I have used Tenacity the last two years with pretty good results. As far as spot-treating is concerned, can you pre-mix Tenacity to have a couple of gallons ready to go for spot-treating???,
ОтветитьFrom RI. I put down pre emergent in early April but im not sure if it worked. I put it down when we were still getting cool weather. I actually have a bag of the PGF complete I never used. Is it a bad idea to put it down if I put down pre emergent already?
ОтветитьWhen do those grass plants start growing
ОтветитьWhat are those grass plants by the pool again?
ОтветитьDo you need to use a starter fert or could I use an organic slow release for the first application of fert?
Last year I had good results with Scotts green max for the first app and then I had good results from the purely organic lawn food (soybean meal similar to Anderson). Just wondering if can skip the synthetic.
So all i need to do is change the hue and color pallet when i record, BRILLIANT! nah jk
ОтветитьGood video just subscribed. What about dandelions as I get them like crazy in my area in the spring ?
ОтветитьHi what kind of grass bushes are those that you cut down in the first part of video. Looking for something like that for my house in Montana and figure we are probably in the same zone. Thank you
Ответитьwould you mind sharing what the big grass clumps are that you cut down? The ones running along the pool fence? I am looking for the exact thing for my yard
ОтветитьHow do you not have the dethatcher for the walker?
ОтветитьNoticed the Greenworks detacher scarifier at the end of the video. I bought the cordless version, and other than the battery not lasting as long as I would like, I love it! Nice video
ОтветитьWhat type of grassy plant is that you’re using to screen your pool off with? I must know ASAP!
ОтветитьLove your videos! Im here to inquire on the tall grass you have planted in section in the mulch. What is it called? And do you enjoy this tall grass? Has it caused you any troubles? I really enjoy the ornamental look of them, and want to incorporate it into my yard landscaping and would appreciate your feedback on them!
Thanks!
I moved from rural NY to northern Louisiana and the weeds here are aggressive. A few types pretty much require BOTH pre- and post-emergent -- poison ivy, spurge, white clover, and nutsedge. If they get established they cannot be eradicated by hand and if widespread have to be sprayed directly as an additional application. For example I have a spray product specifically for nutsedge that has to be targeted on the weeds only and is very slow acting. Great videos as always, thanks.
ОтветитьWhat kind of lawn mower do you use?
ОтветитьThanks for your clear easy to follow advice. I’ve been watching your videos and they are great! Would love to get your thoughts on how to revive my grass... I live in Northern California.
ОтветитьThank you for another great video! I watched and studied your guidance in great details :) ! I saw your other video saying that pre-emergents are necessary 2 years ago. Did you opinion change based on the experience you have?
ОтветитьI think preemergent can help you get a poor lawn under control. I've used it for about 5 or 6 years but thinking about skipping it this year. Once your lawn is in good shape like this, the lawn itself is the preemergent. What does pop up can easily be taken care of post emergent. With the cost of everything these days, I'm looking for ways to take care of my lawn and landscape more cost effectively, and the fewer products I use, the better.
ОтветитьKill your lawn.
Start a garden.
Stop wasting fertilizer on grass.
What are the tall grasses near your fence?
ОтветитьTrue about using preemergent early. It's a waste of money. In Massachusetts if you're going to use a crabgrass preventer, Memorial Day is about the right time to do it.
ОтветитьAmazing thanks
ОтветитьWisconsin. I thought you shouldn’t need to fertilize in the early spring due to the fact that it’s already at it’s growing peak?
ОтветитьDo you know if tenacity will work on killing Bermuda grass in the summer that tries to take over spots in my cool season grass and is it only going to remove just the Bermuda grass? Thanks so much for any help
ОтветитьWhat are those stringy plants called next to the pool? They look really nice. Did you plant and grow it yourself, or get it from a local nursery?
ОтветитьI love in Chicago, can I put down Fertilizer and over seed back to back or 1 or the other 1st ?
ОтветитьThanks! Did my rake out today and used blower to stand up some matted grass. I’m metro Aniston, 19 degrees expected. So I’m going to give it another couple of weeks before fertilizer. Plus some over seeding, but we are waking up and already turning green from winter application.
ОтветитьHello Appreciate this video! Question what type of grass do you have? Can you use same products on zoysia compadre grass in the North Carolina? Thanks!
ОтветитьAble to recommend the order, fertilizer then grass seed then grub killer (if needed)?
ОтветитьHow soon can I spread grass seed after application of fertilizer?
ОтветитьWhat dethatcher do you recommend? Looking for a cordless one. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video. The KISS principle.
Appreciate the hardwork.
Question... I dethatched, aerated, and put seed down in the fall which has come in pretty good. I now have a lot of weeds, can I use the tenacity now to kill the weeds or did I miss my window in the fall? I live in NC just FYI.
