How did schools in North Dakota spend their ESSER funding?
Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funding was provided by the US federal government in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the interests of government transparency and student success, school districts from around the state submitted their stories to the state’s Department of Public Instruction. School districts in North Dakota are, by law, locally-controlled and ESSER funding is intended to allow schools maximum flexibility in meeting local needs. This video series highlights the impact of the ongoing Learning & Recovery program at NDDPI, from the perspective of the students, teachers, and administrators of North Dakota.
