ОтветитьVery nice. Good for Addiesdive! Thanks to you and Herman!
ОтветитьVery informative, would love to see you test these watches at their rated water resistance with more powerful tools!
ОтветитьI would've bought that GMT Addiesdive if it used an NH34. I just have 0 interest in quartz.
ОтветитьSo I can swim with my Addiesdive? Wow that's good news because I couldn't swim before, must be worth every penny 😂
Ответитьafter my first addies dive it's over with pagani
ОтветитьI already know that Addiesdive makes well built watches. I compare it with my Orient all the time and it is just built better than the Mako II. My mako is currently on a replacement strap because the hollow end links failed after i brought my hand down too swiftly one night on top of my car. It fell onto the concrete and didn't have a good time at all. My Addiesdive is still solid, never fell off my wrist because it has solid endlinks. It hit the floor once and the sapphire just held up far better; not a scratch.
ОтветитьThere is a version of the Addiesdive GADA watch labelled "Deep Sea Hunter". It would have been funny to see this particular watch fail! Jokes aside, the results bode well for Addiesive.
ОтветитьWell done Addiesdive. I have a few of them and, apart from the silly name, love everything about their quartz offerings.
I am not so fond of their automatic watches after buying a fantastically inaccurate auto but can recommend their quartz offerings to all. I was hoping that they would release a version of the Explorer with applied indices and quartz movement but eventually got tired of waiting and bought the one from Watch Dives.
Thats great to see, glad to know Addiesdive isnt cutting corners and they look so good too
ОтветитьI wore mine at the pool and the lake no problem.
ОтветитьPleased to hear they passed the pressure test. Thank you for making this video!
Cheers
Greetings from Serbia. Some China made watches never disappoint. Now I can buy without hesitation.
ОтветитьYou posted a poll recently about things we wanted to see in watch reviews. THIS and stuff like this is what makes a channel stand out. You just added value and differentiated your channel from the others.
ОтветитьGreat news! I swam in my pool with my invicta 200m quartz diver and it failed!!! It was a chronograph diver so I suspect it was because of the pushers not being sealed rather than the crown or case back, but either way, was not expecting that. So far I haven't had any issue with any aliexpress watch that is rated 100 m swimming with them from addies to steeldive to pagani design. Personally would love to see a Herman II that is able to test 100-300 m that would be cool!
ОтветитьGreat to see someone testing these Ali “diver” watches…. Thank you.
ОтветитьNice to know, thanks!
ОтветитьWhy would anyone swim with a watch on is beyond me. I wouldnt swim with my chains on.
ОтветитьI swam with my $50 VH31 dune dial and it survived. Of course, I pulled it apart and greased the dry caseback and crown gaskets, and tested it to 25 bar without the movement and dial to be sure. Swimming is a non issue. It has a screw down system for both caseback and crown, unlike the Tag Monaco which has no pusher gaskets, a single gasket pushpull crown and a screwed-in caseback.
ОтветитьI really appreciate you testing for water resistance. Nice work.
ОтветитьGot two addiesdive and they blew me away.
ОтветитьI love Steeldive and Addiesdive. Glad they don't suck.
ОтветитьNice video, thank you Gary.
I think quartz addiesdive watches are perfect for hydro-mods.
They look good 👍
I would like to see more watches tested for water resistance. Baltany watches?
ОтветитьI have their GADA you tested, it only has a few threads to the screw-down crown and I was concerned. Glad to see it is holding up. 100M W.R. is sufficient. But my other AddiesDive is their 1000M diver "hockey puck". It appears to be able to achieve it. But I always had a nitpicking feeling whether these Chinese brands are honest about their W.R. ratings. I guess so for the top brands.
ОтветитьNice test. Very informative. Thank you Gary.
ОтветитьYou can swim with any watch you want: functionality afterwards may vary. 😂
ОтветитьBe aware that while the waterproofing gaskets might be intact now, some might not be greased at all and dry out prematurely making them far less effective. I saw this in my Cronos when I opened to regulate.
ОтветитьReally good and important to see tests like this. Thanks for going the extra mile to test and macro, etc these amazing bargain watches.
ОтветитьI have brought the first tested watch for me and my father-in-law. Thanks to you, I have no concerns about to take it into water. Big thanks for that.
ОтветитьI would have thought pressurising the tank after the watch is under water would be the best test as the pressure inside the watch will be lower than the water pressure making it easier for water to get in,
ОтветитьThanks for testing these, it should reassure the many Addiesdive owners out there 👍
ОтветитьAt first thought you were putting the watchs in a Blender 😅😅.
ОтветитьVery interesting - even though I have no particular interest in these three models it gives me more condidence if I see another model I do fancy❤
Ответить60m water resistance is adequate for swimming in shallow water.
In order for a watch to be safe to use swimming 🏊 and snorkeling 🤿 a minimum water resistance of 100m is the industry standard 🤷🏼♂️
Welp... Looks like the Swiss brands have been in consistent... Consistently Over-pricing n Under-delivering... Even with China made parts...
ОтветитьWhat about the Watchdives 50 fathom homage rated at 300m water resistant?
ОтветитьLove these videos. Hopefully you can uograde Herman and get one that goes to a proper 100m
ОтветитьFINALLY some one with a damn pressure tester to test these watches. God bless you!!!!!!
ОтветитьThat's brilliant addiesdive now change the logo and I'll start buying your watches 👊
ОтветитьMine AD2038 survived pool and sea swimming.
ОтветитьYup. I have gotten Addiesdive, Seesterns and San Martins wet whilst paddle boarding with no issues...Tandorio skx if you can call it that and the Steeldive SD1970 failed...the Steeldive being the big surprise...until I found out there were no seals at all in that particular watch....😔
ОтветитьSwim and dive with mine all the time.
ОтветитьThank you for testing several Addiesdive watches. It's comforting to know that these inexpensive watches should be able to handle recreational swimming or perhaps a dip in the hot tub.
I have an Invicta Pro Diver (quartz) that let moisture in after wearing it in the shower (silly, I know). The culprit? Not Invicta, me. When I changed the battery, the back gasket didn't seat properly and let water in the watch. I should probably let the local jeweler replace my batteries just to be safe.
I hope you test all of the budget watches from these micro Brands just like this
ОтветитьVery professional test, maybe it is a good choice
ОтветитьHas anyone done a review of these watches after a year or more of owning and using them?
ОтветитьWhat camera do you use?? The quality is great, do you also use lights when recording?
Ответить
