Im the exact opposite of you. Imo plastic case sounds better than alu board. Its easier to get a good sound from a plastic board. Alu board tends to sound a bit ping-y if not done right. The sound from a polycarbonate case is a bit on a warm side. Preference i guess

The most sort after and coveted keycaps in the hobby of mechanical keyboards are double shot ABS.
The have much better colour saturation than PBT and have arguably a much nicer sound
They have a softer and less plastic’y sound to them, because of the softer material they are less brittle sounding
When comparing cheap keycaps yes PBT is arguably a better material but when you get to high grade ABS it’s definitely not
So double shot ABS is not a negative selling point as long as they are thick and high quality

BTW, most of the keychron q series boards are notorious for being pretty pingy out of the box, this can be fixed by doing a 'force break' mod which is basically putting tape between the top and bottom parts of the case in order to remove vibrations and pinginess.

Gave you a like... one of the only reviewers who actually bothered talking about performance. Everyone else only seems to care about the sound quality. Which isn't what a keyboard is meant for. So many audiophile hobbyists making it hard to find actual useful information about mechanical keyboards. I want to know the performance in a review. Talking about the sound is fine... but I can just watch a far shorter sound quality video. Making that the primary focus of a review makes no sense... just a waste of 10-30 minutes.

If the keyboard is moddable then sound hardly even matters. Even the $200 mechanical keyboards usually come with low quality switches. Most people will change out the switches regardless. I want to know things like keycap quality, wireless quality, additional features, etc.

Yes, your graph show that the Fnatic = 30ms vs TOFU65 WIRED KDBfans = 45ms but a Razer Huntsman Mini for example reach 3.5ms via Rtings and i can affirm that we feel a difference, but maybe not all person are sensitive to that, you feel taht espacially when you play at Osu! games or Apex Legends/Overwatch for example.

Anyway little joke -> Techless : 'in terms of latency the difference is really very small and I don't notice it.'

Keychron Q2 sounds pingy as hell, the $100 Monsgeek M1 sounds a lot better.

ive been using it for a year and a few of the switches have stopped working and ive had to replace around 7 now.

I think latency testing is important. It adds up over the whole chain. Also do not only test press latency, but also button release latency, which is often higher.
