Please cite a source to support this comment: "in a 25.5 inch scale, which is a little short for a 7 string guitar". Is this an empirical fact or simply your subjective opinion? Why would you acquire/buy a guitar which fails to meet a quasi standard? I think you should contact Steve Vai and the litany of other musicians playing 25.5" (or shorter) 7 string guitars and let them know they're doing it with the wrong gear. I guess I'll have to liquidate my custom Tele with the 24" scale length that I play in B standard and I guess I should also liquidate my 7 string BC Rich (custom shop circa '97) Mockingbird due to it's 24.75" scale length being too short. Not everybody has gargantuan hands (like Steve Vai) which makes (proficiently) playing longer scale length guitars challenging when playing below the 12th fret. Perhaps this is why Leo made the Duo-Sonic and the Mustang available in 22.5" scale lengths but what do I know, I'm not young enough to know everything.

Would anyone recommend this over the Schecter demon 7?

Just picked up a Line 6 Helix LT and now loving this guitar more than ever. It's really grown on me!
