The world is not ready for pure EVs!
ОтветитьIsn't Edmunds creating a self-fulfilling prophecy by telling people not to buy the Fisker Ocean, virtually guaranteeing it won't make enough sales to survive? My advice is, if you want more choice in the EV market, and like the Ocean, then buy one.
ОтветитьIt's a hundred years ago anew. New brands of the past, gone. Either swallowed up or out of business for whatever reason.
ОтветитьThe Ocean is absolutely gorgeous. Too bad it doesn't have a gas engine. Resale prices on used EV's are ALL cratering right now. Some have lost over half their value in just a year. EV's are FAR from green. 97% of all Subaru's are still in the road after 10 years. How many EV's will be on the road after 10 years? The answer is very few. Longevity of a product makes it so much greener.
ОтветитьHuh? A printed manual IS a physical manual! 🤦🏻♂️
ОтветитьYou met my friend at barret jackson. He came up to you when yiu had the fisker hood open. No shout out ??😂😂
ОтветитьEither change your table or put a table cloth on it the reflection of your Mac book is very distracting
ОтветитьPetition for April and Tyler to set up a new EV company and call it ‘Whisker’. Obviously Neelix would be CEO 😀
ОтветитьI thought she was a cat that just showed up and now you are holding it hostage 😂
ОтветитьThe EV Scam has been caught. Thank God people are waking up.
ОтветитьMy only issue is Hoovie is condeming Fisker but Tesla gets a pass for the Cybertruck. If anything the Cybertruck situation is way worse.
ОтветитьAmerica is not ready for electric cars. No wonder why all the companies fail
Ответитьyou gotta be an absolute idiot to buy a car from a company on the verge of bankruptcy
ОтветитьTyler; Just watched the episode of 2 weeks ago where April and yourself debate the merits of the Lincoln vs your Benz. One of only a couple of Good Morning shows I have watched. Loved the interaction between you guys! I’m thinking you might consider having April on with you in the Hoovie’s Garage series. Just a thought. Best to go both.😊
ОтветитьUncle Rich proceeds to buy one 😂
Ответитьyou coming to the mcpherson college car show? this saturday
ОтветитьAn Oil billionaire propping up an EV company? The irony is never-ending!
ОтветитьMaybe Toyota has the right idea. Electric hybrid is the logical stepping stone to electrified cars while we wait for advances and maturity of new battery tech and construction materials to slim down the lbs on theses batteries. Also American infrastructure moves slow like a massive aircraft carrier, and we’re being compared to Norway which is smaller than The greater Los Angeles area in population density. Norway is a speed boat, US is a cruise ship/aircraft carrier.
I stood next to the Ionic 5 at my local dealer, she looks good, but man is she a big gal, roughly measured it next to my ‘20 Corolla 6mt, the 5 is about 6 inches bigger on all dimensions, plus it has 20 inch wheels, what is this midnight club dub edition?!?
The Ionic 5 looks sweet but seeing the size of the regular one, and seeing that the n gets 21 inch wheels left an empty feeling inside, this may not be the direction for enthusiast electric cars. I know everyone complain of the lack of soul and sound, but I get that same feeling when I drive my Corolla, to start having fun you’re already breaking the law and I just feel bubble wrapped most of the times. But then it hit me, I longboard and that is engaging and thrilling, yet it has no engine noise. It might be a lack of driver engagement that is missing nowadays. Autonomous cars might be the future for 90 percent of the populous, but us enthusiasts appreciate driver engagement, we like feeling it’s an extension of our bodies and abilities, like we’re active participant in the experience. It’s like driving a lotus 7/mx-5/motorcycle, rider and horse are one, but modern cars/autonomous transportation feels closer to riding public transportation/riding the bus, and unfortunately the sporty one might feel like riding roller coaster instead of piloting a plane.
lol long as rant, good luck with the Karma, hopefully she’s got a heart of gold, and isn’t too high maintenance!
They’ve got to open source the Fisker ocean software at this point, gear head tinkerers probably could pick them up as a spare car?!? Idk 🤷
ОтветитьAnyone who cares about Fisker owners is ridiculous. Buying a car from a charlatan who goes into bankruptcy serially is dumb. There’s a sucker born every minute.
ОтветитьSo, why don’t they sell ‘em? Very simple, people aren’t as stupid as they think. The main players in the automotive world have been part of the con from the start. Since the EV idea started, they’ve been ramming it down our throats that lithiums and cobalts and nickels, together with their oxides, phosphates and titanates as with all the mumbo jumbo required to confuse the general public into thinking that batteries are soooo expensive. Sure, mining is expensive, so is drilling for oil. It’s just that if you sell lots of it the cost ratio drops considerably. To add insult to injury THESE THINGS HAVE NO ENGINE AND NO GEARBOX, the two big-budget outlays in the industry. On the back of this, combustion engined cars have seen their prices steadily and artificially increased well beyond inflation rates to “match” the EV’s.
And so we have it. The traditional affordable model which until relatively recently was selling for twelve thousand, and its electric counterpart priced at double - remember: same chassis, no engine, no gearbox - then the former pushed to twenty and the electric model, which should cost half, i.e. six, is a “bargain at “only” twenty two.
If ever there were a modern version of the emperor’s new clothes, this is it.
Ford sent me a email offering EV's at a HUGE discount. Never at my house!!! Thx
ОтветитьHere in Toronto, Canada, I see allot of Tesla, specifically the Model 3. I have seen 1 or 2 Lucid however I think the biggest problem with Lucid is it's price. I have seen 2 Ravians, many and I mean many Toyota Prius.
ОтветитьHonestly who reads Edmunds anyways? But at the same time, we should be helping businesses grow not knocking them down, especially during hard times (as most of the USA is currently experiencing). Fisker could've been a great brand back then but due to a natural disaster it hindered their growth and inevitable aided in their disappearance for a few years.
ОтветитьWhat a shame all these cars are beautiful
ОтветитьThe problem is:
EVs are basically the automotive equivalent of smartphones.
Outdated quickly, battery overheating & degradation issues, completely reliant on software (which can brick them overnight), parts and repair very questionable, second market value basically zero.
They are throwaway items, that nearly “anybody” can build.
That’s why China had 447 EV manufacturers 1 year ago…now its 43.
And even those operate with losses, only surviving due to massive subventions (~US$ 4 billion per year).
Nearly nobody really wants them, because you can’t properly them!
The manufacturer’s overreach has to also be mentioned: I’ve seen cars that didn’t start anymore, because the owner hadn’t done the monthly payment on time! In China cars stopped working, when they traveled to an area with protests going on. Etc.
Great, fun & entertaining video!!
Best wishes ❤
Should have brought a Tesla
ОтветитьTyler’s GF looks at him with so much love when he speaks
I’m glad he found the right woman ☺️
Animals are more sensitive to electromagnetic radiation, such as in electronics ... the Airtag!
ОтветитьWhat??? You say you regularly get screwed when doing business in Florida? What? Say it isn’t so! Well, paint me green and call me a pickle. Surprise. Surprise…
ОтветитьThe radio frequency is messing with her
ОтветитьApril: “Well, you can’t blame just one single person for a design”
Chris Bangle: “…hold my beer”.
No. You’ll only know where Nelix is when he’s within 80 feet of an iPhone…. The AirTag relies on its proximity to an iPhone in order to be tracked.
ОтветитьEV is not the future, currently have one, and soon to get rid of, DO NOT BUY EV
ОтветитьFord can’t sell E Mustang either.
Ответить😂reminds me of the solar tech guy Will Prouse on yt bought a ford lightning last year and he tested it out for a few days and returned it to the dealer because it was a pos like that EV Porsche he had bought before the lightning.
ОтветитьEv are toys...
ОтветитьHow to make a million dollars making EVs?
Start with a billion dollars.
parts are going to be hard to get. even companies like tesla cant sell affordable parts.
ОтветитьAnyone buying an EV has rocks in their head. The experiment is over whatever Biden, Elon and other governments think.
ОтветитьSome of those Fisker cars are gorgeous on the outside but the interior is garbage. If they just put in a NORMAL interior with BUTTONS and SWITCHES then they probably would have far far fewer problems.
ОтветитьThe solution is to stop with this ev crap. They don't work and are doing nothing but helping China's economy since all ev batteries are made there. Also need to start pulling all this new tech/electronics out of new cars since that is most of the problems
ОтветитьBring your Fisker to Rich Rebuild so he can put a V8 in it.
ОтветитьI wonder if the Philadelphia guy will also make Oceans semi-usable?
ОтветитьAmerica, please dont buy an EV, so the free chargers around me are avaiable for me, plus all the EV parkings, esp during the special holday events. I've owned an EV since 2017 and the rise of EV has hurt me.
ОтветитьTyler, why not do a vid about all the long forgotten car manufacturers from the twenties through the fifties that went belly up quickly. Your audience is unaware.
ОтветитьElectric cars isn't possible. There aren't enough resources on this planet to make it happen. Period. Sorry, but the politicians will waste all sorts of resources trying to force it down your throat. Then, once you replace that politician with an 'anti-ev' one, that one will waste your money on something else. stop buying the hype. maybe focus on your friends and family? I know, I know, radical.
