POLICE HARASSMENT: Exposing LAPD Officer Jose Rivera

In 2021, Jose Rivera, an off-duty LAPD officer from the Hollywood Division, repeatedly harassed the complainant by driving a truck with illegal tints and no plates, shouting profanities. The complainant later identified Rivera's truck, filed a complaint, and confirmed his identity after capturing the license plate.

Despite initial refusals to identify Rivera by LAPD supervisors and officials, the complaint was sustained a year later. However, privacy rules prevented disclosure of Rivera's penalty. By reviewing LAPD discipline reports, the complainant confirmed Rivera received a 5-day suspension.
