That phone is only going to get more exclusive because the build quality is awful, the screens are so fragile and poorly made there's a video of someone unboxing it, folding it, and having the screen fail. They are seen as a stupid purchase that only idiots with too much money make. They are presently below the original sale price in China, scalpers are crying.

As a person living in China I have already tried the Huawei Mate XT and think it's absolutely amazing. It's so thin and feels so amazing in the hand. But 19,999RMB may be affordable for western people but for the most people living in China this is as much as they make in 4 months.

Maybe get some hardware and software experts to look into each Huawei device to see if there is a back door and if so, is there a way to make it useless in order to be sold in the US, i.e. make back door inactive if it even exists, and then petition your various government to demonstrate that the tech is safe for Canadian and US sales so I can have me damn Emotion UI. As is, I am unfairly being affected by a law from another country. I am not American, and neither are you, so why should their law about Huawei not using US tech be enforced on me? There should be an option for Google to be on all devices not sold in the US. If anyone has a way of getting GMS to work properly with hardware level access so I can use secure apps like banking and others, I'd be grateful. The only right thing to do is ignore the US law, and use it as I would without it, meaning all of Google has to work, not just emulated with Googlefier

I’m looking for advice on building a new PC for both gaming and AI development, specifically for working with LLM models. I also do a lot of development using ReactJS.

Currently, I have a decent setup with an Intel i9-9xxx series processor and an AMD Radeon IV GPU. However, the lack of CUDA support is limiting my AI-related work. Additionally, I frequently use Adobe Illustrator, and it tends to lag when working with larger files. My system has 32GB of RAM running at 3600MHz.

I’m planning to build a new PC that can handle these tasks better without going overboard on the budget—something that’s efficient, not overkill. I’m mainly confused about which motherboard to choose, and I’m considering upgrading my CPU, memory, and GPU to a near-top-tier setup.

Do you have any recommendations? Should I go with AMD or Intel, or would it be worth waiting for Nvidia's new CPUs? I’m not sure which direction to take and would really appreciate any guidance.

The Mate XT has been such a failure in China that scalpers can't make any money on it at all. Not only is it incredibly fragile with some having had the screen break hours after unboxing, Huawei has refused to replace/repair them because they claim it's user error.
Those who have bought it, hate it. It's had a massive amount of returns and the rest are just using it as a joke. It's clunky and cumbersome to use.

The design is nothing more then a gimmick. It's not worth the insane price and it will most likely break before long.

Weird but, this phone DOES technically support following carriers：
Rogers: 5G (via N78+N41)。
Telus:5G(via N78)
Which means Roger is the best carrier for the Huawei Mate XT

It literally uses two DDIC to drive a single panel with 6 different zones in total. That's why if you're using 1/3 of the screen, the battery life is similar to a non-foldable phone. Because it can control how much zone it actually drive. And somehow they keep the consistency of quality through 6 zones. So I think 90Hz is totally acceptable considering one manufacturer still treat high refresh rate as a function to divide their normal and Pro series.🤣
