I knew this trick years back, and it really is THE BEST card trick in the world.
Although I already knew how it's done, I watched this video.

I love this trick--but you don't understand the extreme savages in my crowd of "spectators" (family and friends). Maintaining the level of control that must be maintained in order to pull it all off without complications will be nearly impossible with my crowd.

During the trick--and before I'm even done with it--I'll be getting heckled and haggled and will incur demands on things like--"Set the deck down and let me see every card in the deck all fanned out when you first fan them out for me to pick one." (In which case, the red-backed card on the bottom of the deck will more than likely get spotted. Can you tell that I'm dealing with wary and savvy spectators?). Now of course, I can insist that everybody shut up and just let me do the trick, and quit asking me to do what they're asking me to do--but the problem with that is, the second I do that, the jig will be up, my cover will be blown, the deception will be shot, and they will all clamor harder than ever to make me fan the deck out the way that they want me to. Game Over. (Or rather, Trick Over.)

What you're not being told here is that what you need for this trick are spectators who are as tame and docile and non-aggressive about wanting to see how you're actually doing the trick as people who would get duped by a shell game at a carnival--and I don't know anybody like that. (Or at the very least, even if I do, there will usually always be a mixture of nosy-ass busybodies blended into my spectators who are more interested in figuring out the trick and exposing whatever deceptions are required in order to pull it off than actually just letting me finish it.)

Oh, and that 10 of diamonds with the red back that you set aside?
Yeah, that's toast.
That'll be gettin' turned over without warning by some goddamned hand that just reaches in real fast and turns it face up before I even have a chance to say or do anything about it waaaaaaaay before the end of the trick.

The REAL trick that someone needs to show me is how I can execute tricks like this one without getting infringed upon by buttheads who don't care if they ruin the trick, or who are in fact OUT TO ruin it.............

I know this is a very late comment but I just wanted to thank you for teaching this. I’m AWFUL at slight of hand, and this trick is a wonderful one to use at any skill level, and the crowd reactions are awesome!

Advertised as simple but that DL will be problematic for some.

Actually using a court card for the trick let’s you use a smidge of removable glue/tape to lift the two cards as one instead of a DL.

I saw that video way back in 2007 it was about 6 months after I started getting into magic. I was learning from the Royal Road to Card Magic book. I just learned all those slights, so I was excited to figure it out myself.

I think the last card shuffle is called "Hindu shuffle".

Classic. My go to opener, followed by Daley Aces then Ambitious Card. Subtlety is to do a Hindu force type display and selection to start (with no force, ask to keep going, ect, I say the card chosen never matters), then say you'll make an exception, and do it again, then pick another victim and do a rapid Hindu force. They never catch it
