I remember watching Rico on History Channel’s Dogfights!
ОтветитьIM AM IMPRESSED BY THIS PILOT,sixteen hours in the cockpit
A HERO HE IS ,AND AMERICA IS GRATEFUL FOR HIS SERVICE
TO THE COALITION FORCES AND THE UNITED STATES FREEDOM IS NOT FREE. I SUBSCRIBED. SEMPER-FI
"Ricco" , one bad ass egal driver ! Splash 3 boggies . WELL DONE SIR !
ОтветитьThese guys are laughing at kills
ОтветитьI prefer this unstructured free conversation format. It's much more detailed and informative.
Ответитьawesome fighter pilot.
ОтветитьWhen Gorillas fly MIGs die.
ОтветитьNot something you want to advertise. You’ll be walking around the rest of your life with a fatwa target on your back.
ОтветитьThis guy lived my dream. Started in an A-10 then got mig kills in an f15 😎
Ответитьnice mid-air pic of the vampires 44th, kadena ab...great assignment...great leadership, great teammates early 90s
ОтветитьThis was a narration about making critical decisions under conditions of uncertainty. One wonders if AI can substitute for a trained human to make the optimum decisions. Bill
ОтветитьRico Rodriguez is a beast
ОтветитьHe had several pulls in excess of 10 Gs. Amazing. Reality vs theory.
ОтветитьZZ is Kadena AFB, Okinawa. Yes?
ОтветитьI was at Suwon with Ed the A-10's just got there in we were the showcase of PACAF everyone wanted us to visit them. Felt like superstars!
ОтветитьI know a great beer for fighter pilots, its called 'Arrogant Ba$tard Ale' from stone brewery Californua
ОтветитьA very technical combat concerning the interplay of the engagement envelopes your own and opposing weapon systems. The last real dogfighting was the Arab/Israeli wars and Iran/Iraq.
ОтветитьHand salute, Rico. ex RM2, U.S. Navy
ОтветитьReally nice step back for anyone familiar with this time frame. I was a gunship guy over at Hurlburt Field, about five miles from Eglin, where the 33rd TFW was stationed. When we all eventually returned, we of course had heard how great our Eglin guys had done, and when we saw all those green stars on the 33rd's yardarm outside the gate, it was a great feeling. Well done Rico, great job telling this epic story!
Ответитьthank you sir. CV-59 aka 1st in Defense 90-92
ОтветитьIN LAST 40 YEARS- AS USA PILOT. NOT 4 YEARS.
ОтветитьHoly effing Wow! Gorilla rage fest over the desert.
ОтветитьHe isn't the only person to shoot down 3 aircraft. Thomas Vegas Dietz shot down 3 aircraft in 91. Don't get me wrong Colonel Caesar Rodriguez is one of my heroes. I would love to sit and talk with the man. Just as attitude and everything. His life experiences.
ОтветитьDo you think the Iraqi pilot saw the missile? Not trying to be mean.
ОтветитьDid every Airforce pilot ever get stationed at Holloman? Didn't realize how much of a privilege it was to grow up as an Airforce brat there.
ОтветитьJust like Steve Richie, he's "the real deal" nothing phony or pretentious, actually modest and self effacing.
ОтветитьTry that against Russia
ОтветитьMy country is in NATO and i am against it but what can i do 😔
ОтветитьBULLSHIT NEWS
ОтветитьRepeat it in the dreams
ОтветитьI was an F-15 Crew Chief and served with Rico at Eglin. He was a cool guy.
ОтветитьDid they screw it up, or is Maverick just loosely based on this guy?
ОтветитьOur rules of engagement sound like they are a bigger threat to our success than the enemy ever is. Any other country would shoot first and blame a bad shoot on whoever get shot for being somewhere they shouldn't be
ОтветитьSuper!!
ОтветитьHis a true hero
ОтветитьEpic stories. I’m proud to have served in the same Air Force 🫡🇺🇸
ОтветитьThat aircraft is in dayton now
It's going into the AF museum
It sits outside of the restoration hanger as they prep it
Get to see it daily !!!
Wow after 2 kills on MiG-29’s they Fry you for shaving and boots!
Not the Navy Air way….
Class mate went air force and later said it was a mistake .
I think it would have been better if Ed Harris' character says; the only man to shoot down 3 enemy migs in a single engagement in the last 30 years.
ОтветитьThis guy looks like Danny Devito
Ответитьnice teeth man, jokes aside, thanks so much for this, loved the interview, these interviews always catch my undivided attention , cheers guys and Thank you for your Service
ОтветитьYou do know that movies are set in cinematic universe where things arnt the same as real life, hench the su57 aka 5th gen is in combat when currently they have maybe 3 working and dare not use them.
So the guy in the movie was right ;)
Before you talk to a fighter pilot tell them we know top gun is fake and they can relax 😂 sheesh
ОтветитьYeah, but he never shot down the evil Lord Xenu. Tom did.
ОтветитьKinda surpassed Rico could fit in the cockpit with his gigantic balls lol
What a badass
