I want to give this ball a try even though my relationship with nano cover is tumultuous. I may be the only person on earth that has never matched up with anything with the nano cover.

Wow, excellent analysis! The ball really looked like it slowed down at that first center and not sure I would be able to get it through the heads there, but it looked great on the fresh in your home center.

The bowling ball "tracer" effect was a nice touch to help see the ball path. That's a keeper

Solid review. I had a chance to throw one at a match maker last week and felt this could make a great bench mark ball and almost pre-ordered one. Ultimately I ended up ordering a SONiQ since I was looking for something I could open up the lanes with at league in games 2 and 3 and the SONiQ (which I tested after there was some breakdown balls on the pair I was on) gave me that look which makes sense since I'm medium speed med-low rev player.

So beyond happy with storm. This is exactly what I wanted to see. Will 100% be getting this ball to replace my crux.

how do you compare it with the hy-road nano? I currently have a hyroad nano (sanded to 4000) and it still hooks too much at the back end, would the physix be unplayable for me considering that it looks abit stronger and earlier than the hy-road nano?

Out of curiosity, assuming the same pin distance and layout, how would this compare to the Code Red in terms of reaction?

Hey Luke, thanks so much for all your videos and reviews, you have been very helpful with the right information for choosing new equipment. I was wondering if you could show a little more information on the drill pattern layouts, maybe a couple of pictures showing pin location and cg. Weak pattern vs strong pattern.

This ball almost lasted all three games on my Friday night shot. After practicing with it the night before and finding what line I wanted to play, both nights played out pretty much the same and was able to shoot a 677. I should’ve switched balls after four frames in the third but it took leaving the 2-4-5 three times before I changed to the Marvel Pearl the last three frames! This one didn’t do as well for me in the other house, but the house shot just doesn’t have as much oil that night. Loved the Idol both times I tried it at match makers but having so many balls can be confusing. Plan on getting the Intense Fire at the Military tournament in Vegas in January. Threw it at match maker a couple weeks ago and I also seem to like at least one ball i get every January there! Pretty sure they will have the Match Up Black there as well and one of my military tourney teammates, also a PSO, says he loves that ball.

Physix looks promising. I do enjoy my storm thunderstruck and code x, still throwing my no rules pearl. Rolled my code x last night for a 767 series and 297 game for high. Not complaining one bit lol love the videos man, keep it up

I know it’s nano but is seems to be faster off the friction and create more angle. Would I be wrong for assuming that? How does it compare to the fused or other hyb asym as far as quickness off the friction?

I got to throw this one today at a demo day that had all of the companies there. This ball seriously had jaws dropping. The Storm lanes were packed because everyone wanted to throw this. I told the Storm rep how impressed I was with this ball, and he said he predicts this ball will be an absolute home run. Very strong motion off the spot, and great energy at the pins. I am slightly speed dominant and it was a dream come true for me. Will have it in a couple weeks.

I have a physix and my games has improved a lot from a 150 to a 200 avg. the middle lane to the back end is really nice. Even if u make a mistake the ball just hooks a bit more into the pocket

Hi Luke. Question regarding layouts for asyms. I struggle with them
Standing up to early/quickly. What would you suggest. A shorter pin to pap currently have mine at 5 1/4 or increase the Val angle mine currently at 40?

My alley slabs on oil super thick and I am looking for a ball that will grind through the oil but not have a huge snap at the end because I am a 2 hander and struggle with keeping balls on the lane sometimes. I have a code x and absolutely love it. Its my go to ball but on the fresh in the first game the ball doesn't want to read. What ball, sure lock or physix, would you reccomend?

You mentioned at Gage Center, the backends are more crisp so you’ll see flat hits or late hits that cause ringing 10 pins. What’s your adjustment when this happens? I’ve tried moving right but then the ball crosses over. I’ve tried moving left but it still hits light. In league, this causes me to do well the first game, then get worse because I’m not good at handling transition.

Really like your reviews and they will have a big impact on what i buy. Getting back in after 10 years off and need new stuff. Previously only used one ball and suffered third game because of it. Looking for a 1-2 punch this time around for when the lanes break down. Thinking Physix and Match Up hybrid but I'd love some advice. Thanks.

That Physix you sent me has become my favorite ball. It’s usually my starting ball. When the lanes dry up, though, I change to my Code Black. Sometimes, I move right and throw up first arrow with my !Q, where I’m usually the only one in that area
