A closer look at Original Xbox Emulation on Steam Deck | MVG

How easily can you, since Xbox Live is no longer available officially, still apply patches to OG Xbox games? I hear there's a WWE game that was released as a glitchy mess, that turned out to be an unfinished beta pressed onto the discs by mistake! The solution? Make a patch available to download over Xbox Live! I'd also like to know how easy it is to make fan patches for games, including ones that didn't support Xbox Live! Need for Speed Underground is a great game but I'd really like to be able to reskin and rename the Lostprophets car somehow, due to that band's lead singer being a child sex offender!

Xbox emulation is still pretty sh1tty compare to PS2. Shame.

Someone can fix the following games I tested: 1. Jade Empire (many graphical issues!), 2. Prince of Persia - Sands of time (water is green..not looiking great). 3. NFS games (all of them) f.e. Most wanted Black Edition. This game does not show a menu and when playing the game and racing you see white blocks everywhere. Someone know fixes for these 3 games please?

FYI: EmuDeck supports games with multiple disks by using .m3u playlists

Does anyone know why only one of my games run smoothly? Every other game I have either operates in slow motion or freezes after the loading screen.

so basically the steam deck is a portable xbox when combined with emulators and gamepass

I had a hacked og Xbox back in day, rented games then copied straight to HD, still looks like that's the best way to play og Xbox. But, having it on a handheld is awesome, if only the hardware was more powerful. Steam Deck needs a 6800u model.

Can't you play Halo Infinite on the steam deck and the Q logic cloud thanks to it having Microsoft Game Pass?

If you told me back when this console released and I couldnt believe how good it looked..... that one day we can play this console on something that fits in our hands, I would not have believed you.

I would dearly love an updated PC port of Conker Live & Reloaded without the censoring, I would love to be able to play it in higher res with super-sampling etcetera, but I really don't like the fact that some of the best parts are censored and cut out, I'd love the OG CBFD with the awsome and fun OG multiplayer content.

The timing is so funny, just started delving into Xbox emulation via Xemu as of last night!

So impressed how well they work on average =D

Messing around with Pariah and it's mostly playable (some of the larger sections drop to 5 frames sporadically), it being smart enough to pickup your controller was also a really cool feature!

Some graphical glitches and performance drops on AMD GPUs can be fixed by running xemu with zink Vulkan wrapper:
