I think the first kid was failing school.He was failing college, and it came time for him to graduate?And he knew he wasn't going to graduate, so he faked his own disappearance. So his parents wouldn't come down on him.

I feel like there is no logic explanation for Kubaki’s disappearance especially these was no trace of him however I can imagine perhaps these people experienced some form of amnesia coupled bizarre out character behavior. Perhaps also they were drugged somehow whether someone drugged them or there was some sort of natural chemical in the air. Besides these ideas I can’t think of any reasonable explanation for these stories besides people just lying which isn’t congruent with the stories so definitively very mysterious and interesting

These people are going through a vortex or portal or some sort of wrinkle in our perceived reality. There is no other explanation, and I feel like reality is very fragile and dependent on our belief of it. This world, galaxy, universe, space is so vast and unending and unknown that we can't know for sure that our reality is true. Too much weird stuff happens, deja vu, sometimes not being sure if something actually happened or was just a dream. I dunno i feel like some of these people slipped through a weak spot in the facade and existed in another reality before slipping back into their own. It sounds crazy I know but nothing else makes sense.

The 3rd one could have been a multiple universe incident. I didn’t believe in the idea of a “multiverse” because it’s been used so much in fiction but after the super computer basically confirmed the idea of it I would believe it could be possible. Sadly we will probably never know the truth to these incidents in our life time, maybe one day we can somehow reinvestigate them using some crazy technology like a light year telescope, but by the time we can do that we would have probably confirmed aliens and more of these disappearances would’ve made more sense.

The first mystery disappearance is about to be explained. The man himself has a book scheduled for release in September. He didn't have memory loss, it seems. He spent the 15 months getting up to radical student political mischief.
