I don't think NASA could have gotten those valve covers any cleaner than you did, Tom. It reminded me of the documentary about the creation of the James Webb space telescope, where they showed the beryllium mirror segments being examined the final time after the reflective plating. They had 3 specialists shining special lights on it from different angles, looking for dust or fingerprints. The dudes took their jobs seriously. They searched and searched, until they were convinced that the mirrors were as clean as humanly possible.
