ОтветитьExcellent video. I just mentioned to the neighbor yesterday that I'm doing a water fast. She told me to be careful because she knows someone that died when they reintroduced food. So I have been allowing a couple things ... A cherry-strawberry kefir smoothie w/cinnamon & turmeric, an avocado, and some peanuts. To be honest, if this doesn't start making me feel better soon, I'm happy to say sayonara.

ОтветитьI read that it's normal to fast. Early humans were scavengers, they ate whenever they found food sources. Other times, they went without. We have more fat cells than other primates..to allow for our gorging/fasting mode.

I can totally agree to what Zach says in this video. After my surgeries, I didn't eat at all and was only drinking, so I have lost very swiftly my weight. But, after I started to eat normal (after a couple of months) I've gained even more weight, although I did not eat sugar and practiced intermittent fasting. So only sport and sleep can help. Thank you so much for your advices. P.S.: As I watched you eating bread I got hungry, although I was not hungry before I started to watch your videos.
ОтветитьFirst, glucose is used up then protein is converted to glucose and when that is depleted, fat is converted to glucose. Fat is the last resource available for energy, this is why it’s so hard to lose weight!

This year I fasted 30 days and I felt better every day. It was so awesome. I hope I can do it again one day.
ОтветитьIt is NOT true that your body reduces muscle while long time fasting. Look at different studies from people who fasted 30 - 50 days. They GREW muscle while fasting and doing cardio plus working out.

ОтветитьI've had good experiences with both intermittent and long fasts using generous amounts of electrolytes. Dr. Jason Fung is perhaps the best resource on fasting.
