Fun story, I had a Doberman who sadly passed (rest in peace Zeus) so any ways, I would walk him and just see people cross the road when I walked him, this happened most of the time I walked him, but sometimes, people were strait up going to other way, anyways, Dobermans are terrifying if you don’t know there personality

My Doberman is about 90lbs. Smaller than his parents. But I have a 12 month old child that crawls over him and plays with his mouth. And he doesn’t move a single inch. I also have a 3 and 5yr old that use to like ti grab some chairs and then climb in his back as if he was a horse. And he’d just stand there.

Objectively speaking, those teeth looked on the small side for that size of a dog. I would’ve expected much larger. 🤷‍♂️

I miss my Doberman he was 10 before I had to put him down for bone cancer of the leg. I still cry when I think about him he was obedient and loyal and a wonderful family dog. You need to exercise them daily to burn off that "nervous energy "

My Doberman is a trickster hold out a treat for paw he was angry cause he didn’t want paw so he threw paws and slapped my stomach and one time I left a treat on a counter to grab something as I was gonna do something but my aunt recorded him sticking his paw and grabbing the treat although they are very trainable

My dad's doberman lab was the absolute best girl ever. I used to take her and our boxer everywhere with me. Never worried about my safety. Her name was Bailey and she passed two weeks ago at almost 14 years old. When my brother had kids. Those babies had 24/7 protection, and she was so gentle and careful not to knock them over. Boxer was Reilly and he passed 2 years ago at age 18. Also, one of a kind with a big heart.

The best memories i have of my teen years are with these two. Miss them so much.

Can I please ask why you still use the HS collar with the E collar. My good doggo wears a HS and I want get him an e collar for when he runs free however was under the impression the e collar a replacement for a HS basically and e collar is a HS with an invisible long long long leash. Thanks!

Dobies are amazing family dogs if you train them well but not an easy breed for first time dog owners or people short on time. They take a while to mature and can be quite needy. If they want attention they will make it known and bark or whine. Other than that they are great dogs. Also males are prone to same sex aggression of similar sized dogs even with a lot of socialisation

Please don't advertise breeds this way. Theres more to them than this. They are a lot of work and need dedication from their owners to train them and give them a job to do. They get bored easily and can be destructive when they are understimulated. They are not apartment dogs, their teenage years are generally terrible, etc. They are amazing dogs but they are also incredibly sensitive, like most dogs, but you will literally break their hearts if you abandon them. They are dedicated to their people. There's already too many of them at rescues and shelters. Understand the commitment and take it seriously before getting one!

Our doberman is supposed to be my wife's dog, but she has bonded to me. My wife goes to bed, the dog stays with me on the couch. If I'm tired and go to be ahead of my wife, the dog comes with me (she has a bed at the foot of our bed).

People want Corvettes and Ferraris too but not everyone should have one. Dobermans need a lot of mental exercise besides physical exercise and most people aren’t capable of keeping their Dobermans mentally exercised. They’re very creative and if you don’t focus their attention in structured exercises your stuff will pay the price.
