Laughed my ass off from this little clip alone. When a friend played me a Pryor album for the first time in the '70s I have to admit it offended my then-delicate sensibilities and I didn't get it, but shortly thereafter I did a complete 180 on the man and his art. They used to play this film all the time on cable in '80s and watched it many times and never failed to enjoy it.

Pryor served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, but spent virtually the entire stint in an army prison after he and fellow black soldiers beat and stabbed a white soldier

Pryor was my all-time favorite stand-up comedian. Dirty, profane, and brutally honest, mostly about himself! If this was his therapy from his troubled life, I'm eternally happy to share it with him.

I miss Siskel and Ebert. I love that they could go high brow Ingrid Bergman and then find the joys of Star Wars.
