Wow awesome ,love so much!❤
ОтветитьUnfortunately i woke up thinking of this song today. Sad day.
ОтветитьGarth!!♥
ОтветитьNothing has hit me harder than when I lost the love of my life, this song puts into words and music in a way I never could never articulate myself, it brings me to tears every time I hear it...I can say that unashamedly at my 70 years of age.
ОтветитьThis Band was smooth as silk. Man they were good.
ОтветитьOceans in my eyes ever time I listen 🎶
Ответитьbrilliant. never get tired of watching and listening to this.
ОтветитьRick Danko.
Ответить💯
ОтветитьFOR MY HUSBAND I LOVE YOU NOW AND FOREVER
ОтветитьThis favorite of mine is a reminder of my luck and my friends called me schleprock because of that black cloud that has followed me in my life Yep 😂
ОтветитьSlow Fox!
ОтветитьSimply astonishing - a wonderful 6 minutes and 51 seconds of sublime music - love it and love them. What I would have given to see them live.
ОтветитьIt makes no diff'rence where I turn
I can't get over you and the flame still burns
It makes no diff'rence, night or day
The shadow never seems to fade away
And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door
Now there's no love
As true as the love
That dies untold
But the clouds never hung so low before
It makes no diff'rence how far I go
Like a scar the hurt will always show
It makes no diff'rence who I meet
They're just a face in the crowd
On a dead-end street
And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door
These old love letters
Well, I just can't keep
'Cause like the gambler says
Read 'em and weep
And the dawn don't rescue me no more
Without your love I'm nothing at all
Like an empty hall it's a lonely fall
Since you've gone it's a losing battle
Stampeding cattle
They rattle the walls
And the sun don't shine anymore
And the rains fall down on my door
Well, I love you so much
It's all I can do
Just to keep myself from telling you
That I never felt so alone before
Just magnificent. Sadly missed but happy birthday to Garth…..
ОтветитьI’m here at Bernie Taupin’s suggestion (his autobiography « Scattershot », 2023).
ОтветитьHappy 87 Garth ;-) What a wonderful piece of music performed by a fantastic Band. This piece of music hits me hard every time i hear it.
ОтветитьHoly phuch… whst a beautiful song
ОтветитьRecent things in my life I really don't care about God anymore it no longer exists in my life he has forcefully taken from the pillars community who have done dirty things to me since I'm 5 years old and I totally give up on people and life
ОтветитьWhen expressing the longings all of us feel most deeply during our vulnerable youth, when we cannot understand why our feelings are not reciprocated, when we discover our hearts are broken and there is no one to tell, Ontario boy Rick Danko is chosen by The Band to convey their most deeply felt lyric.
He has company. Watch Neil Young during his Last Waltz performance, also from Ontario and the same age as Rick. Their eyes meet as Neil sings “Helpless.” People who are aware of Neil Young’s towering ego were caught off guard when their hero encountered a kindred spirit. That spirit has flown but we still see him in the Northern Lights.
Timeless and so beautiful ❤❤❤
ОтветитьWhy do l just lose it over this heartbreaker..guess it reminds me of hugging all of my brothers as they left home over the years..a couple are permanently gone..but the music lives on..🇨🇦
ОтветитьOf course I'm going to have to learn to play this bass line for Danko!
ОтветитьPerfection.
ОтветитьThis is without a doubt one of my all time favorite songs and my favorite Band song! It’s a perfect song, and thins live performance is amazing no matter how many times I hear it.
ОтветитьRingos appearance in this movie was as useless as a turd in a kitchen😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьFabulous!!
ОтветитьRIP Robbie and thank you for all your geat songs
ОтветитьProlly 1 of the best songs ever performed
Ответить100,000 views very sad
ОтветитьSure, Robbie Robertson has an ego about this event, but he is the one that created it, and the one that invited Martin Scorsese to film the event.
ОтветитьNo American Idol or the Voice, the Band learned their chops in Woodstock and on the road!
ОтветитьBuenisima banda canadiense yo aqui en el salvador vi la pelicula en un cine de nombre libertad.
ОтветитьNever gets old watching this!
ОтветитьJust plain good, I grew up not far from the town of Woodstock. This music cannot be duplicated!
ОтветитьIf you don't play this at least ten times, in a row,, you never jammed, sorry for you guys
ОтветитьRobbie Robertson, the man
ОтветитьEverything about this is so great. Robbie's lyrics and guitar playing, Rick's vocals, and Garth's sax solo.
ОтветитьDid this song at kwaj with my best friend with the southern cross as bright as my wife's eyes.. no better ever
ОтветитьSimply stunning.
ОтветитьThis is incredible.
ОтветитьDrop-dead gorgeous. I'm at a loss for words. 🌹
ОтветитьSax solo could have gone on for another 10 minutes strait...
ОтветитьRicks vocals were so perfect for the feeling he was conveying.
ОтветитьThank you! Every musician and producer responsible for this! Magnificent! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьMan, I love this song. I always have and always will. Can't believe they edited out the black and white verses for time. Thank you for the enlightened look at a favorite tune. Stampeding cattle, they rattle the walls. Poetry, thanks for posting the full video.
ОтветитьRick Danko was the man!!
ОтветитьRattle the waaaal, Rick knew how to draw it out. Perfect. Love Rick
