I'm a huge big blue fan boy not going to lie, ever since the 2.0's were a few hundred bucks. I have fn's, sig's, Gucci glocks, but hands down m&p's are far better value over anything but maybe a psa which I also have 😂. I'm impatiently waiting to go pick my bodyguard up after work tomorrow. I needs me a pocket rocket, my 380ez what got me so damn curious about these
ОтветитьGreat review, thanks. Love the T-Shirt! Also looks like you are a Canik guy, would love a review of the MC9L(S).
ОтветитьSo, T&T, in summary, would you say you like the S&W Bodyguard 2.0???😆
ОтветитьGood review 👍
Ответитьgreat review. bodyguard 2.0 is a no brainer over the lcp max. just picked up the new bodyguard 2.0 earlier this week and i’m absolutely loving the little thing! smith & wesson killing it. best 380 on the market
ОтветитьThat's some pretty fancy shootin' Pard!
Gott get me one of those soon!
Good Luck!
I’ve got both of them, bodyguard 1 & 2. Except for the name they’re not from the same family.
ОтветитьWith something this big, you might as well carry a compact 9mm like the Shield 9.
A "micro" .380 should be Kahr P380/LCP sized or smaller. This thing is gigantic by comparison.
Nothing should snag on that trigger except your finger.
Otherwise, it’s not being handled correctly.
Ruger cannot be happy about this new release.
ОтветитьThe Pocket Rocket is Maurice Richard of the Montreal Canadiens
ОтветитьThere is videos saying this gun sucks that the spring when you take it apart is a pain in the ass to put back and the sites are always messed up from the factory and many like the Ruger Max over this but in the end guns are useless if we can't shoot strait.
ОтветитьI see very little reason to go with 380 when 9mms are almost the same size now.
Ответитьthat little piece of schit don't shoot Underwood Xtreme rounds does it that little piece of schit.
ОтветитьWhat round exploded?
ОтветитьHad a chance to handle
One of these recently. Wasn't impressed with the feel of it. Felt really cheap.
I own and carry the LCP MAX and rented the bodyguard 2.0 with 12rd mag last weekend and couldn’t tell the difference in shootability. I do have a hogue grip on my lcp max and a Galloway trigger.
ОтветитьMine doesn't like reman ammo or at least the brand I have. Regardless, love the weapon.
ОтветитьMine has a safety
ОтветитьThe Rightest Force of Rightening
ОтветитьLittle late to the review, but awesome video! The DeSantis Sof-Tuk leather holster made for the Kimber R7 Mako happens to fit this gun perfectly. I appendix carry it directly on my waistband - no belt needed because of how light the thing is. It fits super low in the holster for when deep concealment is a must. My only complaint with the gun so far is that the stippling texture on the grip gets a velcro effect with polyester shirts, which is pretty annoying.
ОтветитьI have the original bodyguard 380 and im going to retire it for the 2.0. its just too much of an upgrade to ignore.
ОтветитьI’m going to buy this tomorrow 🔥
ОтветитьYou're my go to guy Tools! If you say it's a quality pistol, I'm going to the gun store and take a serious look!
ОтветитьIf ya don't mind me asking, what range ammo are you using in the BG 2.0, I just ordered mine tonight and want to pick up some range ammo that it will shoot well. Thanks
ОтветитьI held it a few days ago and sure would buy - but - they dropped the price on the xdme 45 and 10 to $349 and a good deal on the hellcat pro package. And I bit those so this has to wait. Nice review.
ОтветитьHello, love your bullet tests! I just got one of these Bodyguard 2.0s with some Underwood XTP +P (141) and Platinum Xtreme Defender (679). I see here you did not have any failures to feed, however, there are many people now experiencing feeding issues with flat nosed FMJ and rounds with a flat nose profile like the Extreme Defender/Penetrator due to the Bodyguard 2.0's two-part ramp design. The Bodyguard 2.0 has a two-part ramp design (unllike the LCP single ramp) and there is a lip on some right where the two ramp parts mate. The rounds are catching on that ramp edge and causing failures to feed. Have you had any failures to feed since using this gun? Thanks
ОтветитьThanks tools im just not a fan of 380s i like a little bigger package
ОтветитьI like the regular Bodyguard because it has a manual safety so you can carry in pocket with a round in the chamber. I would not carry that with the round in the chamber.
ОтветитьBlade trigger safeties are drop safeties. Trigger momentum is stopped. Not for handling safety.
ОтветитьNOT INTERESTED IN .380. 9 mm OR .40 IS OK!
ОтветитьI have the EZ 380 , and the Ruger Security 380. Both run flawless . Smith holds 9, Ruger holds 16. I like em both.
ОтветитьAfter 2 years, I took my LCP Max back to Adacemy. After some discussion, they offered me a full price trade value, a brand new Max, or cash. I took the cash. If only Glock would update the G42 with a 10 rd. Mag.
ОтветитьYeah, I have a Bodyguard 2.0. I know not everybody loves the idea of carrying a 380 but if you're OK with the 380, that Bodyguard 2.0 is probably the perfect pocket carry weapon. I used to have an original LCP and... that gun never should have made it to market. I'm convinced it was designed by someone that has never used a gun.
ОтветитьA pocket carry, OR an Apothecary....? Distributing pills 😅
ОтветитьHey man. I'm in SC and we have similar weather. God Bless you for the videos, very informative. I'm impressed with the Bodyguard 2.0 but nobodies talking about the inability to run +P ammo, which I consider an advantage when relying on .380. God Bless and Merry Christmas. Trey Holley/ Aiken, SC
ОтветитьHave two and love them. Use them for deep concealment due to work. I had the old one and its not even the same gun. These 2.0s are on completely another level of quality.
ОтветитьNice shooting. I like that gun.
ОтветитьWould be cool to see a metal frame eventually…
ОтветитьI would really like to see the ballistics test that you do for that 2.0
Ответитьfor 50 years i have carried in my pocket a sw j frame stainless steel 38. i wipe it off once in a while and clean it 2 times a year. never needed it but i know it's there. especially when i travel.
ОтветитьWhat brand/type of ammo so it does not jam?
ОтветитьSo please advise what you do carry on your hip?
Ответитьmy brand new sw 2.0 failed to fire many times due to light primer strikes. it's on it's way back to smith and wesson. I believe this pistol has been part of a promotion blind to lots of problems encountered and reported, when you make small pistols. people were so anxious to promote it they ignored some of it's draw backs. this pistol is not reliable for self defense. it feels like your holding a 60 grit sanding block, the trigger is crap, it shot 9 inches to the left at 5 yards when sand bagged, your unable to load the magazines to full capacity, and for gods sake DON'T DROP IT!!!! IT JUST NEEDS TO BE REDESINGED A LITTLE. All you real gunsmiths out there need to speak up about this P.O.S.
ОтветитьJust a wee bit of bias against the Ruger. It’s meant to be carried often and shot little.
ОтветитьThe LCPII was just on the market when I my job changed some policy that made occasional pocket carry preferred, and at the time it was the obvious choice. As soon as I handled a Max, I got one. I kept the LCP II and still have it, but if it says anything, I just sent the Max down the road and picked up a BG 2.0 . This is the most natural feeling pistol Ive ever held.
If S&W has any sense at all, they'll release this thing in a 22lr. They wouldnt be able to make them fast enough.
I just bought one of these the other day, once it passes reliability testing to my satisfaction, it’ll most likely be in my pocket more often than not
ОтветитьLove the bodyguard 2.0 as a belt gun but if I pocket carry anything it’s the lcp2. I think these companies are forgetting what makes a great pocket gun, in my opinion this and the max are a little big for that and are getting close to 365 size guns.
