ОтветитьChewing gum is not CBT!
ОтветитьBrilliant, thank you, I suffer with tinnitus, learning to teach the alarm brain to let it go. It wont kill me and it won’t hurt, takes time, but eventually it will fade, it will always be there, and in the background, but I can get on with life. The power of the positive thinking.
ОтветитьGood stuff this
ОтветитьYes, but not being liked isn't the worst that can happen. I fear falling over and getting broken, because it's happened once, I'm in England, our health service is chaos, my local hospital trust is very poor. A friend who did fall recently ended up in the local hospital, and the care was so poor she had a stroke. Three months later she is still not rehabilitated and can't manage her life any more. In my mind that is something very real indeed. I'd like to be certain it won't happen to me!!
ОтветитьDepression and anxiety is just a negative imaginary feeling and thought. Don't worry about it because your positive thought and an exercise can change it. Just laugh and take care of yourself and you will be happy and fit forever 😂.

ОтветитьBut the majority of 'experts' say you just have to deluge your brain with positive affirmations, preferably also by looking into the mirror at your face as you do it. They say the brain cannot tell whether a comment is true or not, so after a short while it will accept the positive comments as truth.
I think they get the 'evidence' for this from brain scan experiments which show that the general public, or monks can change the way their brain works by practice.
Thanks a lot for this important information ❤

ОтветитьIt’s been 11 yrs of anxiety for me. Still a struggle. Thank you for the CBT techniques. I have anxiety that when every little thing in my body has a symptom, I have almost an instant fear of dying. (Not sure if this is actual health anxiety) A headache, an arm pain, stomach pain, numbing in my arm or leg, especially palpitations… any of those I tend to hyper fixate on that symptom and it snowballs in seconds. MRI’s, scans and lab work doesn’t matter. I feel something is going on with all my organs. I’m also on edge when I go out. I feel overwhelmed in the grocery store or malls. I already imagine me passing out and who will help me. I’m constantly catastrophyzing every single thing. It’s a vicious cycle. I’ve had some CBT therapy but I’m still struggling.😔
ОтветитьAnxiety is a situation where you try to swim hard but you can't go out of the water 😢😢

ОтветитьAll emotional and behavioral responses are preceded by thoughts. it only takes 1/10,000th of 1 second for a nerve impulse to travel through the brain. This I where underlying assumptions and the unconscious mind come into play. Just because you experience a quick emotional reaction without a conscious thought does not mean that thought happened outside of our conscious awareness. This is exactly where underlying assumptions come into play. It's the repetition of conscious thoughts which allows that thought to be stored in the brain, ready for action. This thought causes a reflexive reaction as a consequence. For example, a thought such as, "Snakes are scary and dangerous," would cause you to have an immediate fearful response since the repetition of said thoughts/ideas happened before your encounter with the snake.
