Bring back leg grabs (or the very least allow it after kumi Kata is established) and allow slightly more time to work on the ground (doesn’t have to be a lot).
ОтветитьWhy is there no notable PS game or mobile game about Judo on the market? There isn't even a game designed to attract children's attention, I'm sure even table tennis has a game, I think discuss this first!

ОтветитьIt's so scary to even look at you, and the pressure is so overwhelming
ОтветитьI'm scared and my whole body is shaking when I think about the rules.
ОтветитьI always don't like the rules of the game and the sanctions are too harsh
ОтветитьLeg grabs should come back no doubt
ОтветитьNot just leg grabs but leg locks as well
ОтветитьSo many comments: leg grab, leg grab, leg grab. Hey, it is not so easy!!! At first, we must stop the shido game. Then we must stop the endless kumi-kata fighting, a result of continous grip-breaking of the lapel. AFTER that, we can talk about leg grabs, but only in the standing position, e.g. for te-guruma. I do not wont the times back when every fighter does only yoko-sutemi with grabbing the leg instead of doing Kodokan Judo!
ОтветитьThe IJF has ruined the integrity of Judo by banning leg grabs and allowing penalties (shidos) to influence outcomes, which undermines skill-based competition. Meanwhile, Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) maintained its rules, adapting to and even defeating wrestlers who once dominated both Judo and BJJ tournaments. Over the years, BJJ practitioners learned to counter wrestling strategies, incorporating Judo throws and leg grabs, becoming a complete martial art for self-defense and competition. While Judo resisted evolution, BJJ embraced it, taking the sport worldwide through open challenges. The IJF’s failure to prioritize Newaza and rigid rule changes have hindered Judo’s global growth, unlike BJJ, which continues to thrive and dominate in mixed martial arts. Judo had the chance to lead, but it lost the fight due to stubbornness.
ОтветитьThey’re definitely hinting at leg grabs
ОтветитьLEG GRABS
ОтветитьIJF cares more about money than judo. Judo TV is about taking money , it's all they care about
ОтветитьIt's a fantasy that it will be apopular TV sport, make it the best combat grappling sport to practice. remove restrictions on gripping and "leg grabs". increase newaza time. Go back to a little bit less baggy gi at least this new one with teh super long skirt and huge sleeves looks ridiculous and will not attract youth to practice
ОтветитьLeg grabs need to come back
ОтветитьBring back leg grabss
ОтветитьAGARRES DE PIERNAS
ОтветитьLeg grab absolutely. Without it , just half of the judo.
Ответитьbring back leg grabs with as few limitations as possible. no only as counters or in a combination idiocy.
and stop banning techniques for essentially no reason.
i don't like fake attack like seoi, tomoe and sumi-gaeshi.
time to think definition of fake attack and property attack.
Leg grabs!!!
ОтветитьBring back leg grabs!
ОтветитьLets stop making judo a joke that ignores half of the body, wasting a lot of good techniques because some weird people thought it would look cooler lets make olympic judo become the effective martial art it was designed to be lets bring back leg grabs!!

Ответитьwhole lotta nothing
Ответить3 shido =Waza ari. This opens the game and takes the victory from the referee. And leg grabs please
ОтветитьThe peanut gallery is big mad
Ответитьreverse seoi nage
ОтветитьAnd also Time to change the referee commission 🧐🙃
ОтветитьLeg grabs is what you can do better
ОтветитьWhat about to switch from a system based on throws quality to one based only on throw number? I mean with two throws ones wins a match, that's it. No ippon, waza ari, yoko anymore. Easy to understand.
ОтветитьLeg grabs !!!
ОтветитьJudo is much more than Ippon. IJF is borderline tarded.
ОтветитьLeg grabs, because we have changed the bad rules of the past. We have Golden Score. You can throw and score outside of the square. You can’t escape pins by fleeing the mat. A single shido doesn’t end the match in golden score.
We didn’t have this last time, now it’s time for the return
Bring back leg grabs!
ОтветитьВерните захваты за ноги!
ОтветитьThis person should be fired. Changing rules so many times.
ОтветитьStfu on "Judo is an Olympic sport", Judo is not an Olympic sport. It is the MARTIAL ART.
ОтветитьThis arrogant, incompetent person should be fired.
Always changing rules, is a demonstration of incompetence.
LEG GRABS!
Ответить1)A judoka who hasn't scored any attack should NEVER be declared a winner by hansoku make by accumulation of penalties. Situations where a judoka is winning by waza-ari but loses because of 3 shidos are unfair, revolting, ilogic, complete bullshit nonsense that can allienate even the most hardcore judo fans. Shidos must make the path for the win harder but NEVER be decisive to the point of defining the winner.
2)The abolishing of yukos and kokas have failed making the score easier to understand. To make matters worse, good techniques are not scored anymore while stupid, irrelevant or even "undefined" shidos can (to the point of absurdity) decide, for meaningless reasons, the fate of very important fights and throw in the garbage years and years of dedication and sacrifices made by athletes. The weird scoring system of judo is similar to tennis: if you find pointless to watch two people banging a ball with rackets for hours the scoring system doesn't matter, you won't watch tennis; if you think it's cool to watch tennis you will try to understand the score regardless of how weird the score is.
All that said, this is what should change:
a) Bring back yukos and kokas to allow for more scoring opportunities and to reward offensive actions; people who enjoy or are potentially attracted to judo will understand or make an effort to understand the score; people who are not attracted will keep not putting an effort into understanding the current allegedly simplified "waza-ari ippon shido" thing as is the present case;
b) 1 shido should erase 1 koka from the score of the punished judoka; 2 shidos should erase 1 yuko; 3 shidos should erase 1 waza-ari; 4 shidos mean the judoka can only win by ippon;
"Oh, if shidos don't lead to elimination than judokas will play defense forever and fights will be endless". No, it's the opposite. With the current rules, shidos are the best effortless shortcut to a win; gold medals have been awarded nowadays for judokas who are successful pretending they are being offensive and managing to prevent the opponent of pretending they're being offensive; why are you taking risks of attacking if you can just force your opponent into 3 shidos?? If shidos do not end the fight anymore, the only solution will be to take risks and attack. Even more if you'll jeopardize your own score by accumulating shidos. Bottom line, fights will be more open, more offensive, you'll only win by attacking and the more time you take to win the harder to win the next fight will be.
Nothing less than this kind of change will be purely cosmetic and won't solve the core issues judo is facing. I hope the IJF will be brave enough to take the proper measures in order to save their magnificient sport from doom.
Please have senior rules and child and cadet rules seperate to foster good fundementals.
