ОтветитьSo beautiful and thoughtful to do this for our fallen. Heavenly harmonies, and a heartfelt violin solo. Thank you, Petersens.
ОтветитьAs always - these folks will render you smiling, liking and wanting still another song ..... each time ! No exception with this tender sad ballad for a grieving mother at the National wall (D.C.) lamenting her son being taken by war . So sweetly done !! GBjj
ОтветитьI keep going back to listen to Matt's harmony on the word "recall". Very powerful. Nicely done.
ОтветитьThank you all...........with tears in my eyes; and tears now in my beer; some days the memories just bother me a great deal...many went over; and many never came back. I think of them often; as i was never a hero; but i served alongside many of them.
Vietnam Veteran 1969-1970
Жаль что история войн продолжается. Кто-то так же и теперь поет эту песню на своем языке, оплакивая потерю.
ОтветитьThis song arrangement is too much of whatever it is. It's too deliberate, l and it takes away from the message of the song. Yes, the harmonies are perfect. But there's still something wrong with this arrangement. It sounds like something an AI would come up with if you requested it to give you "three part perfect harmony with no feeling"
ОтветитьThis Gulf War Veteran thanks you from the bottom of my heart!
ОтветитьCredit to momma!
She is lugging that beast all by herself!
This is fine but you really need to hear the original by The Statler Brothers.
ОтветитьMy late husband was an Army medic in Vietnam. Thank you to all who served and gave all.

ОтветитьI listen to your group most everyday, you cover so many artists and do the songs better than the original. Just love you all so very much ❤️
ОтветитьI just learned of a dear friends son of the Army special forces medic that took his life after 13 years of service. He told his mom he just can't get the blood off his hands. This song breaks my heart every time I hear it. Thank God for all men and woman who has served.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьJust fantastic song and band
Ответитьlove this version,well done.
ОтветитьPerfect!!
ОтветитьA beautiful rendition of a moving Song . . . Thank You!
ОтветитьI have heard a few groups sing this song, but I believe that the PETERSON’s do the best job beautiful singing most lovely music you are number one in my books❤
ОтветитьHaving just assisted more than 250 volunteers place flags on the graves of 5,000 Veterans at a local cemetery this week and just got home from a Memorial Day program where Color Guards placed wreaths and a bagpiper played Amazing Grace...and the guest speaker was the Great Great Great Grandson of a former US President...your song brought tears to my eyes for sure.
An AWESOME TRIBUTE !
That was beautiful!
ОтветитьJust found your BEAUTIFUL song on FB this morning......do you have a cd?
ОтветитьI had never heard this song until today. It is heart wrenching, I missed the draft by a few short weeks. Petersens: Your talents were perfectly in-tune for this song. You nailed it. Very professionally delivered and very obviously respectful of the subject matter. I have followed you for several years now and I have seen all of you mature and get better at your chosen craft. I wish you continued success and a safe and happy daily life. I hope to get to Branson someday to hear you in person.
ОтветитьBy far the best version of this song. The Petersens hit the spot one more time.
ОтветитьPowerful song! Thank you!
Ответить😊
ОтветитьThis song touches me so much, well done you all, thank you.
ОтветитьBeautiful! I’m my late seventies now. It’s been over 50 years since I walked in the mud and blood where friends fell. RIP Brother, Semper Fi
Ответитьsounds better then the original version.
ОтветитьLYRICS - More Than a Name on a Wall
------------
I saw her from a distance
As she walked up to the wall
In her hand she held some flowers
As her tears began to fall
She took out pen an' paper
As to trace her memory
She looked up to heaven
An' the words she said were these
She said, Lord my boy was special
An' he meant so much to me
You know I'd love to see him
Just one more time you see
All I have are my mem'ries
An' the moments to recall
So Lord would you tell him
He's more than a name on a wall
She said, he really missed his family
An' bein' home on Christmas Day
But he died for God an' country
In a place so far away
I remember just a little boy
Playin' war since he was three
But Lord this time I know
He's not comin' home to me
She said, Lord my boy was special
An' he meant so much to me
You know I'd love to see him
But I know it just can't be
So I thank you for my mem'ries
An' the moments to recall
So Lord would you tell him
He's more than a name on a wall
Oh Lord would you tell him
He's more than a name on a wall
