Over the last two years, Dr Lisa Harvey-Smith has become one of Australia’s most well-known astronomers. From touring the country with Buzz Aldrin and Neil Degrasse Tyson, to co-hosting “Stargazing Live” on the ABC and having articles posted in major newspapers nationally, she has done it all. And now, she has written a book. “When Galaxies Collide” by Dr Lisa Harvey-Smith, explores possibilities our how our night sky will change, when a fast approaching galaxy collides with ours. She also explores how the relationship between the night sky and the human race has evolved over time.
We also discuss her recent study on a self-destructing star, how she has adapted to the ever growing media attention, her mission to make astronomy “cool”, her favorite stargazing app and a LOT more!!!!
