2018 anyone!?
ОтветитьNice......
ОтветитьWhat is the name of this movie??? Please tell me.
ОтветитьHey music producers! You can find a FREE FOLEY SAMPLE PACK if you just check me out. Uploaded right now!
ОтветитьThat looks like it'd be such a fun job.
ОтветитьThe guy punching the beef in this clip is my father. He was a mean drunk who loved to punch things in real life too.
ОтветитьPlot twist the police and robber guys are the foley artists
ОтветитьI found the whole thing cool and interesting but I busted out laughing after the freeze frame
ОтветитьThe sounds the foley guys make, doesn't match what is heard..this is another take, or only half of the sounds, but not a match. I feel a little disappointed..
ОтветитьLmao. The foley actors' 'action scene' was more entertaining then the movie actuals. xD
ОтветитьThis is so cool!!
ОтветитьWhat film is this?
ОтветитьIncredible!
ОтветитьThe fun thing is, what you are hearing is not the actual sounds the foley artists on the right are making--------they actually "foleyed" that part of the film after the fact! The illusion worked again!
ОтветитьI saw this short years ago and was fascinated by it. The guys creating the sounds is way more interesting than the movie, and that is the whole point of this delicious short. These guys are amazing, and I had to d/l this just to watch again and again. Glad it's available!
ОтветитьTalk about beating the meat
Ответитьhahahaha.... so great
Ответитьthis is one of my favorite videos on the internet i hope it gets recommended to everyone by the algorithm one day
ОтветитьLOTS OF COCAINE
ОтветитьThat was one of the best and most funny things I have ever seen. Not how it really happens, but this extreme version is great to show to the classes I teach! Better than listening to Ben Burtt ramble in his (ironically) monotone voice. :P
ОтветитьDamn ive been a Foley artist this whole time? who wouldve thought the Bathtub was a good recording studio
ОтветитьThey obviously scripted the bad guy to win, that convenient glass bottle at hand...but great clip and work by Foley Artists back then and now.
Ответить10/10
ОтветитьWhen someone says "what's foley?" This is the clip I show them. Absolutely brilliant and hilarious at the same time
ОтветитьWhy, i had no idea!!
ОтветитьDigiPen gang where you at?
ОтветитьThis is hilarious!!!
ОтветитьPlot twist: they weren't recording foley, they were trashing the studio for not paying.
ОтветитьI thought it was going to turn into a sketch where the fly artists start fighting as well.
ОтветитьBack then they did not yet invent on-set sound recording. It wasn't until Stanley Kubrick made The Shining that film studios began to create their recordings on set. In this film, they show you how back in the day, the sound of two men destroying objects in a studio was acheived by two technicians (one of whom is an actual police officer) running around and beating each other up.
ОтветитьOne take? That's an insane amount of memorization and coordination!
Ответитьwhat movie is this because i need to see people do this again
ОтветитьBest Foley video ever since not interrupted by host voices
ОтветитьSuperb❤😍
ОтветитьI remember seeing this on telly as a kid nearly 40 years ago and always thought it would be a cool job.
ОтветитьUse this talent for God, that's what he put it in you for, REPENT DAILY PEOPLE AND TURN FROM YOUR SINS turn to THEE, Lord God Almighty, may God bless you

ОтветитьHoly heck this is cool. The art behind the behind of the scenes.
ОтветитьRoblos
ОтветитьAs an audio student studying foley at the moment i wanna say, besides the fact that this video blew my mind, it was also f***ing blew my mind as well. Absolute Gold!!!
ОтветитьSo happy this was posted, I remember seeing this on SuperChannel in Canada way back in the 80s, and I still love seeing it
ОтветитьIts art, you would t understand
ОтветитьThis is absolutely hypnotic
ОтветитьI thought that was a scene from police academy, but it was not...
Maybe because it might be an original recorded skit for the video..
Well, back in 1988, I developed and recorded the 'Alien-speak' for 'War of the Worlds' TV series. The Foley Artists were these two crazy buggers! We met at the studio when I went in for my first 'Alien-speak' over-dub. Terry came to calling me Alien'Al or Al'ien. Good times were always had. Of course, being of an inquisitive nature I did ask them where Foley Artists came from. "Were they born on a mountain side in Tibet...or what?
This how you become a Foley Artist... land a gig with their assistant/sheet keeper and become, said assistant/sheet keeper, to the assistant/sheet keeper who then becomes a Foley artist.
What a gas, it was......BREAKING THINGS AND GETTING PAID!!!!!
I did end up as a Foley Artist, myself, in due course.
I did think about opening a 'Mini-Plex' of little studios where people could pay to give 'it' a go. However, my other gig in the industry was that of 'Transportation Specialist'. That took, literally, the rest of my life because I am retired, now.
Not only is 'Foley Fun', it is also very therapeutic; both physically and psychologically. Who knows...perhaps some day. Namaste to all. ✌
Also, the 'Track Stars' film was shot by Mark Irwin, David Cronenberg's long-time friend and DOP (Director Of Photography). So there...nyuk-nyuk🤡
ОтветитьMakeup by Maija Beaton?
ОтветитьThese guys are incredible and funny as heck 😂
