The 1960s was a golden time when good music flourished. They believed that all the bad things were over.

I love The Doors, but good lord the keyboard is so annoying sometimes.

My friends and I were born in the 60's and like all kids we started to find ourselves and we found The Doors, we loved them, but growing up in So. Cal in the late 70's the radio stations simply did not play The Doors, the only person who did was Jim Ladd from KLOS ( The Last DJ) at his 10 PM show, I would buy a 6 pack and share it with my friend and go to the cul-da-sac and listen to his show in my car and wait for Jim Ladd to play The Doors. Then the book No One Gets Out of Here Alive, comes out and then the Doors were being played all day and night. My Mustang had a Concord tape cassette deck with Pioneer 6 x 9 speakers. Good time good old days. Back when So Cal was a great place to grow up.

The sound is just amazing. These guys truly had something special. What a shame that it had to end so early. We do still have some amazing music which will live forever.
