ОтветитьI was a fat girl all through school. I got tired of being called fat and got tired of looking in the mirror. Started exercising and dieting, watching carefully what i eat. I really took an interest in healthy eating, not to lose weight, but to just feel better.
Im like 5'7" at 145-150lbs that fluctuates with a shit or a glass of water. I make heads turn, i see envy in other womens eyes. I enjoy my body way more, my mood is better because my condidence has skyrocketed.. I FUCKING LOVE IT, I LOVE IT ALL!
If it wasnt for society doing what its suppose to do and giving me ridicule, id prolly be a fat cow stil. Stop eating mcdonalds big girl.
As an obese person, I'm fat because I don't move around enough and don't eat the right food. It's true that weight loss isn't linear and you hit plateaus where you don't lose weight no matter what you do. But you have to fight through them and not throw your hands in the air and give up. I've lost almost 100 pounds and still have more to go. That lady is in fat denial

Your body likes to stay at the specific weight you got it accustomed to. Yo-yo dieting isn't good for you. It took a while to gain all that weight, it will take a while to lose all that unnecessary weight.

Even though absorption numbers and burn numbers aren’t exact.. the concept is fairly simply: you won’t be obese if you’re burning more than you consume.
I wear glasses so my eyes naturally have a problem. Are they supposed to be like that because my body and brain want a blurry vision?

ОтветитьThere's no such thing as a body with a set point of obesity, unless it's caused by people becoming obese in the first place. Obesity means their body has created many additional fat cells. It's unfortunate but the extra fat cells make it easier to gain weight quickly, maybe that's why she's confused! All the extra cells have to be eliminated. It sounds drastic but having liposuction to remove extra fat cells may actually help someone maintain weight. Also becoming obese in the first place may cause harmful changes to how their bodies function. When it comes to the fat gene, normally people from Northern climates, it's an adaptation to help people survive the winter when many people starved! They could gain some weight when there's an abundance of food, then lose it every year in the winter. SHE'S not doing that! You don't have to hurt yourself to lose weight and be healthy, but you DO have to live that lifestyle forever and that's what they don't want to do!
I'm 5 ft tall, 60, and had weighed over 200 lb but now 145 which I have maintained for a year with almost zero fluctuation. I can still eat fat or sugar but not everyday! Maybe once a month I eat a donut or something. 😂😂 And guess what? If you don't eat junk every day it becomes a real treat. Now it's special and I appreciate it so much more, it even tastes better. It's SUPPOSED to be a treat! Not your diet.

ОтветитьWhat the woman said is not completely wrong but it's also not completely right either. Much like Brad. Your body will fight you if you try to loose 100 pounds. And only a person who is completely out of touch with reality would even try to suggest that is an easy thing to overcome. But it's not impossible. And it's worth attempting even if you ultimately fail. Because the next thing you try might work. And even the smallest victories can dramatically improve your health.
Even if you don't lose a single pound, getting more exercise and eating a better diet will have tremendous health benefits. Unlike Brad, who is talking out of his behind, I actually have experience with this. I am 5'7", 53 years old, and have maintained my weight at 300 pounds. I was at 320 pounds. And my A1C was at 6.9. My doctor wanted to put me on diabetic medication. On my last checkup, I had normal blood pressure, my A1C was at 6.0, and I have never needed to go on diabetic medication.
Brad, a person who has probably never had a weight problem in his life, knows absolutely nothing about the struggles an obese person goes through. And trying to ridicule and shame people for being overweight is asinine and counter production. The "positivity crowd" also have a dangerously foolish message. Being overweight is not good. It is isn't glamorous, attractive, or healthy. Do what you can to drop the extra weight and to support other people who are having the same struggle.

ОтветитьNursing student here. She could not eat for two weeks and be fine because her body would pull from the fat storage. Think of hibernation the bears get fat so when the food goes bye bye they won’t die.
