20 Rolex Watches Selling BELOW Retail!

It didn’t take me long to get the list numbers wrong 😂 my apologies team!

So far I’ve gotten 4 calls from my local ADs for watches they suddenly have on hand. A Wimbledon, couple subs, a gold GMT - none on my list, but all suddenly offered if I wanted to buy. All new, at retail.

Does anyone think rolex models will go up again? And hold what you have. Or sell what you have?

I can never seem to find any of the all gold Day:dates that are new or a white gold Daytona for under retail.

Want a laugh? Was in Trafford centre last week was told by by AD that any colour dial Datejust 41 in SS fluted or unfluted bezel would be around 9 months wait time if I wanted to go on the list because I had no previous buying History with them.. I laughed all the way out.. literally lying through there rotten teeth ROFL

I only wanted a OP. After a year I don’t care to wait. I’m going to JLC or zenith for my money.

I bought my Sea Dweller 16600 in 2008 with 12% off. Also everyhing was available below retail: GMT2, Milgauss, every kind of Datejust, Daytona with meteorite dial... That was before watches become an "investment"

Even the pre-owned versions, many years old, on your own website are not at that price. Video makes it seem that new versions would sell under retail. Pretty much clickbait here.

Rolex sales tactics are making me sick! Since they tried to rip buyers off! I am no longer wanting to buy one!

Absolute no joke. Got my 'call' the last day from the Rolex AD that I was on the 'list' with.
In the time I have waited (2 years) I had bought two luxury other brands.
I got the feeling I was a last resort sale as it wasn't even the watch I was on the list for.
Told them I wasn't interested and to remove me from their books.

By 'market value' do you mean pre-owned? You won't see a brand new unworn GMT Rootbeer, Explorer II or Yacht Master 40 under list on the secondary market.

Would be interesting to see what they actually sold for at the peak rather than what they were on the market for.

You’re talking about secondhand watches on the grey market. Why would somebody be selling these watches in the first place -Crime organised crime? All sort of other business could well be involved stay clear of recent secondhand watches, only buy watches from an authorised dealer.

None of the old rolex in the Chisolm Hunter store in Bromley are below retail. They are priced worse than the Rolex 2nd hand CPO watches.

Chisholm, take my comment as constructive criticism. Whenever we hear a price comparison video like this one, it seems the host uses the peak price in 2022 for a given reference model. Frankly I do not care since prices during the Pandemic Era are an anomaly. A more useful price peak would be to only look back to the last 12 months from the date of the video.

I wish there was a Rolex that I liked. I would probably buy a Daytona, but again, I don't love it enough to fork out £28,000+.

I know people go crazy for Rolex's, and i understand why because they are really well made ... but I just can't get on board with the brand.

To all the losers out there who said Rolex will never drop in value the last 2-4 years, just remember many watch collectors know you r truly dumb. Just remember to join our gang to mock at new losers in 10-20 years time when there is another round of hype . 15 years ago was Pam, Rolex just happened, someday another brand will get the chance lol
