And Colin, I agree, I think Penn St will be terrific and win the Big Ten. In Texas, with that system and elite athletes a mediocre QB would succeed. Arch Manning is above avg QB and that’s it. He is Not Elite

Nothing has changed. Best talent by far remains in SEC. Alabama lost the best coach in football. LSU cant seem to hire the right coach. Texas is a beast, and Georgia lost a ton. Michigan and Ohio State still go undefeated in conference, they caught SEC with Bama replacing Saban and Smart reloading.

Idk but I think the committee will penalize teams with soft no conference games. Play that D2 team and winning by 30 vs a team playing a P5 top 15 team and losing by 10 could be a deciding factor.

Once these stat padding QBs in the Big 12 realize that the NFL isn't going to draft them above the 5th rd, they will start transferring back to SEC schools. But for now the SEC is missing out on sone of transfer talent.

I see NIL and the transfer portal restriction being lifted as two different things. I think even without NIL, the restriction being lifted is the single biggest reason why teams can’t stockpile talent anymore. Losing a year of eligibility was essentially a death sentence to going to the NFL, and in most cases you were better off just staying and praying that the guy in front of you got injured.
