a thing really missing in CS is pedestrian shopping streets which are normal all over eu
ОтветитьI don't see why ped only areas would cost more to maintain than roads. No traffic lights to fit or maintain, not road markings and almost never need resurfacing.
Ответитьblock people from walking by the city entrance and build a park between residential and work. make them pay to go to work and to go home lol.
ОтветитьWhy does it cost you money to have a pedestrian area? It actually is much cheaper to not have all that car infrastructure maintenance.
Ответить"I kinda feel like I didn't put a lot of thought into that...."
Absolute LOL moment.
Since I installed plazas and promenades cs is not working anymore
ОтветитьOkay ... best make a note. For ped-only cities ...
#1: unlimited ... money ... mod ...
There - done!
I teally don't get the whole idea behind having an area based maintenance cost on top of building and road/path weekly costs. Seems like an unnecessary inconvenience that discourages using pedestrian zones since there's little to no benefit to using them beside realism and personal preference.
Hope a mod comes out to remove these silly maintenance costs.
who's idea was it to make pedestrian areas cost money to maintain? what are you maintaining by drawing a district?
ОтветитьHopefully you got that bus loop running in the next one, not much point in adding the roads if it's not 6.6
ОтветитьYou can add a park gate on both ends of the pathway connecting from the pedestrian area to the industrial area. That might help you earn loads of money
ОтветитьAnyone else having this problem? I have 0% cargo use in my pedestrian areas. Empty commercial goods warehouses set to fill, commercial areas crying for goods to sell, no trucks being used... and uses, nearby industry and unique factories producing goods. Seems like a bug?
ОтветитьHow could you Biffa? Coal/Oil power plants and all that pollution in your first ever modern day new DLC city. This isn't very eco friendly or green for all those poor pedestrians outside. 🤣🤣
The new buildings look amazing, cannot wait to get this DLC.🙂
If your not fixing are traffic what you gonna do tho? 😂
ОтветитьIt's still designed as a car based city, just with walk-able paths. You expect people to walk half way across the city to access anything.
ОтветитьOh thank god for that I effing hate cars.
ОтветитьThis is THE BEST IDEA 💡 EVER KEEP GOING 😃
ОтветитьCombine pedestrian with universities or make a pedestrian & mass transit only big city.
ОтветитьThey done some nice updates 😂,
You git to love this game ..
Good vid
Are the pedestrian roads not cheaper than car streets? It'd only be realistic, as cars create much more stress on the road...
ОтветитьPedo nly city.
ОтветитьI built my first IT cluster the other day, I put it in the middle of a trainabout.
ОтветитьMake a super organic city?
Ответитьoooo so its the netherlands DLC?
Ответитьi wonder if there will ever be a sequel to city skylines?
Ответить„Let’s make sure I got the wrong one“-Biffa 2022
ОтветитьPed only city lol. Definitely seems like they are run by democrats.
ОтветитьNot enough water. Yeah! Because you used all of the water for your swimming pool...sometimes Citizens are stupid.
ОтветитьYou can totally put industry in pedestrian areas
ОтветитьSorry .... a ZERO traffic town .... with BUSES ???? Not sure you have followed your own rules there
ОтветитьYou should redo this same idea but put toll booths on the road they drive and walk on and lower the taxes to 0-5%.
Not overkill like when spiff did it but something like what your doing now and make a new video series.
I feel like you could use train and cargo ship terminals to closed loop industrial areas that do not connect to any other road networks and that would still basically be car free.
ОтветитьMixed use buildings? They definitely make more money per unit area than detached homes.
ОтветитьLook! A nice riverside area! I'm gonna put some heavy polluting industry there!
Ответить29% tax..
Simultanius in Sweden.. 33% tax.
How they solved people moving out. Well they baned municipality to reduce the tax under 29%, so there is nowhere to move to
Pedestrianizing???
It's pedestrifying!!!
Hey, where do you get the car ports from? Is it in a DLC or a mod?
Ответитьi think the game is pretty unrealistic on pedestrian and bike traffic , and also the income of all commercial businesses should increase in pedestrian friendly zones, as well as decreasing health costs . And a big surplus in tourists .
The game is trying rn to simulate european planning with american traffic physics where everyone is attached to their cars as if it's their lord and savior , instead of embracing the foot and cycle.
When you said you wanted to zone your town into pedestrian only I was thinking, no he wouldn't do it all at one go. And you did lol. Oh boy he's going to be in a world of pain, I thought. Lesson learnt from it, I do it one or two streets at a time, making sure those wouldn't break the road network.
ОтветитьBiffa ... first thanks for the video. I've been looking for a way to spend less time working on traffic. I realize for you it pays the rent, but for me it just gets tedious. So, P&P DLC provides some options.
Next, I tried going to your discord looking for a particular mod that bursts post its. I realize you have saved your mod lists via XML and a not a Steam collection, but I cannot find the one for this series. A little help would be appreciated. Thank you.
How does those service points works with land value? I mean, if you have a huge pedestrian area, does all of it have the land value bonus for services when then service point is covered?
ОтветитьYou can place industry in pedestrian zones.
Ответитьwhat texture mod are u using?
Ответить
