This is educational because I have ex-boyfriend and girlfriends that talk like this. Nothing wrong with them, but it seems to explain their conditon? It is exhausting talking with such friends, and I have to take long brakes afterwards. They talk non-stop, change topic fast, and don't let me fill in. My irritation is that these people pretend to be "normal" and have never been diagnosed. It is the other people around them that has to adjust to them, their speed speech and chaotic world. Why can't I have a normal friend ??!!!!!!

I don’t know, if I was like that. A lot of memory is gone from my high phases. But I am a great singer and I draw amazingly when I am on a maniac phase 😅

I’m a Christian and I have Bipolar II & when I was manic one time I thought God was revealing things to me that no one understood except me and I had a mission to tell everyone about it. Funny thing is that it’s actually spoken about in the Bible and it’s not some mystery! But I swore up and down that God told only me. The thing that I thought God revealed to me was in a verse talking about how it is better to be with God than in this world. That was depressed me that harped on that verse. I wanted to be with God so bad and Him take away my pain when I was depressed but I valued the life He gave me and the time he took to make me and all the blessings He had given me, so I stayed here. Going on 39 years in October and still here. I take my meds everyday and it helps! I have dips and peaks but I’m doing good. ☺️

Ngl I used to be like this. Back then in high school I literally have no one to talk to, but a few friends and every time I have conversations with them, I would talk so fast and change topics to another topics that it’s so irrelevant. And everytime I’m like this, I feel so drained and exhausted afterwards

My Grandad is bipolar and he would become so energetic that he couldn’t sit still and he would stomp his feet rapidly. His mental decline was brought on by a divorce and him turning away from God. Now he has no anchors and is thrown wherever the wind takes him.

I talk like this at times and feel like my thoughts are racing and keep going from 1 topic to the next and feel like I can't get my words out fast enough. Also feel very happy and sociable and feel overly energized. Also just come out with things without stopping to think whether it is acceptable.I know this can also be ADHD but I feel very low at times in between.

But therapists arent people, so they sit there with dead eyes and the actual human being doesnt know how to respond to that

This is all common in Autism and Giftedness by Renzulli criteria.

People need to remember 98% of Psychiatric disorders are just reified categories, no known cause, no syndromic dynamic, subject to pleiotropy, social perception and bias from the evaluator.

One's innocuous values and self importance shouldn't be a criteria for mental illnesses.

saw someone say "it all couldve been avoided had he just taken proper medication" some people cant fucking afford proper medication and therapy karen, some people have a mental illness and guess what? NO FUCKIN MONEYYYY!!! im sooo tired of people pretending those with bipolar who are unmedicated are just self sabotaging unlovable sacks of dogshit who are "choosing not to go get help" or "choosing misery" i was medicated, in therapy, doing all the homework taking the right doses at the right times, AND ID RATHER DIE THAN TAKE ANOTHER PSYCHIATRIC DRUG IN MY LIFETIME because i was still fucking miserable and mad to be alive, meds not working and making shit worse was making literally everything worse. meds made me groggy, sleepy, complacent and apathetic, made me feel like i was doing smthn wrong because these little colored tablets everyone tells me fixed all their problems actually just fucked me over worse but yea, im the pos for not wanting to fork over all of my money for a bottle full of apathy, im choosing to stay miserable fasho.

PSA*** not every unmedicated bipolar person is a fuckin lazy asshole who would rather be toxic and miserable then ask for help, yes they do exist but give some fucking grace before you write every individual's individual experience off as the same one
