Actually, i believe claptraps in the second playthrough still give you the backpack upgrades until you reach the cap (42 slots). so if you missed one in the first playthrough you can get the upgrade in the second

How Do People Get 42 Backpack Spaces ?

nope not for me :L only got 27 and ive completed the game in play through 2 but 1 was with friend and he was ahead so i didnt get :(

I dont remember, i where playing the Japanese version, and i got them all, but somehow a pack glitched, or i must have excedently dropped 1. I got mine in the DLC of DR Ned which did gave me another pack :)

I got all of them on playthrough 1 but I didn't get the achievement, all I did was mod my inventory down to 12 then re do all the missions. Is that why?

Pro tip: You can check your completed mission to know which one you haven't done yet

i dont get it.. trophy description "rescued enough claptraps to earn 42 inventory slots" i get 1 from each clap trap, some do open unique doors but its only a case with guns and ammo or mods loot, no extra inventory slots
