What no one in the comments is realising is that you can see the punchline coming before it does, that's what makes the sketch so good
Ответить"Doctor, can you operate on this man's brain?"
"Well, probably not, brain surgery is extremely—"
"It's that neighbor of yours you said is a total moron."
"Oh... well," (rolls up sleeves) "how hard could it be?"
As CEO of Neuralink and SpaceX, Elon could have this conversation with himself.
ОтветитьI always wonder how "Rocket scientists" and "Brain surgeons" describe the easier parts of their profession
Ответитьcan't seam to post on facebook
ОтветитьSo after watching this skit, a few times, I decided to research it. Is it harder to be a rocket scientist or brain surgeon. And it's significantly harder to be a brain surgeon. At the point will you become a rocket scientist you would still need seven years of residency before you were a neurosurgeon. There are five times as many rocket scientists as there are brain surgeons honestly, if you came close but ultimately failed to be a brain surgeon, you would hardly break a sweat to be a rocket scientist.
ОтветитьOne of the best skits you'll ever see.
ОтветитьThis whole skit is comedic edging; the punch line is like a long awaited orgasm!
ОтветитьGOATs
ОтветитьFunny
Ответитьlol, Mark's called Jeff in this sketch
ОтветитьBrain surgeons are just glorified lobotomists.
ОтветитьThee most predictable yet funny line ever lol
ОтветитьNot every accountant needs a brain surgery but indeed every brain surgeon needs an accountant.
ОтветитьLOL
Ответитьmorons in the comment section think rocket science is actually harder than brain surgery
Ответитьnope, brain surgery is way harder than rocket science. Trust me, I'm above both. I'm a philosopher
ОтветитьI watched this sketch but it's not exactly brain surgery is it. 😊
ОтветитьNow all that's needed is a plastic surgeon to join these two and watch those egos fly.
ОтветитьWould have loved this to be redone by Dr Strange and Tony Stark
ОтветитьAs an Astrophysicist I can confirm that rocket science isn't actually that hard.
ОтветитьYeah but, rocket science... it's not exactly brain surgery, is it?
ОтветитьBrilliant!
ОтветитьYou know the punch line is coming which is what makes it funny.
ОтветитьThe only great predictable joke to this day
ОтветитьFantastic bit. Love it!!
ОтветитьShania Twain walks through the door and says ‘so you’re a rocket scientist, that don’t impress me much’
ОтветитьHere in 2025 and this never ceases to be hilarious. Classic comedic sketch that plays on not one but two common English language idioms, The arrogance of Webb's character has us all rooting for him to get his come-uppance, and there's Mitchell with the disinterested look ready to do the business 😂 Genius writing and timing. Perfect. 👏
ОтветитьIt would have been even funnier without the punchline. "Oh, brain surgery." and cut.
ОтветитьBrilliant
ОтветитьNever ceases to amaze me how, every time I watch this, and every time I know what the punchline coming up is and I'm still laughing the whole time leading up to it after David walks in.
The setup is so good that the punchline doesn't even matter, because knowing what's coming is the hilarious part.
😂
ОтветитьFunny, but you know, writing skits isn't exactly rocket-surgery.
ОтветитьStill one of the best.
ОтветитьSuch talented guys.
ОтветитьThis sketch always reminds me of the 2 Ronnies. The gag just has their style and not only because of the party setting.
Ответитьngl. could see that punchline coming from before i was born
ОтветитьHands down one of their best sketches. Doesn't take a brain surgeon to know why 😂
ОтветитьI love this sketch. You can see the punchline coming from kilometers away and yet its still so funny. Ha Ha.
ОтветитьI wonder how many takes this took for them to do it without laughing
ОтветитьWhenever I see a clip where someone says "it's not brain surgery", I come back to this video.
ОтветитьI'm only discovering this now, after 15 years of being a Peep Show fan. I know.
ОтветитьThe comedy genius of this is that the punchline is telegraphed from a mile off, and we all feel giddy anticipation of it, and then it's delivered with perfect timing.
ОтветитьFascinatingly, Facebook says this video goes against their community standards.
Ответитьthat brilliant pause when he takes a sip of his drink before the punchline.
ОтветитьI come back to watch this a couple times a year and I laugh every time.
ОтветитьProper humour. Mitchell and Webb, Miller and Armstrong, French and Saunders, Harry and Paul? How the BBC is crying out for this type of humour.
ОтветитьCant get enough of this sketch.
Must have watched it 20+ times over the span of about 10 years.
I am not sure what it is but it just feels like perfect comedy.
😂😂😂😂😂
