For new players, Mongols cannot build walls in AOE4 so if a Mongols player cannot establish map control then expect a hard time in mid-late game. This had happened in tournaments many times.

Ah yes, my 2nd fully mastered civ, honestly, they are just fun to play if you know the best optimal build for them, however.... The abbassids are the greatest pain to deal with as the mongols

Kurultai is such a difficult wonder to manage. Yeah ok works great for defending the town centre, but for attacking (aka your only strategy with mongols)? Holy shit is risky and uneffective. If you have to maneuver your keshiks, light cavalry and mangudai at the same time to encircle the enemy, this shit is useless.

The quote came after GK sent people over on a 450 man trade mission, a corrupt official, the sultan uncle, accused the Caravan of being a spy mission, killed and looted the Caravan. When the GK sent diplomats 1 Muslim and 2 Mongols to have their the uncle punished. The Sultan responded by killing the Muslim ambassador and shaving the beard of of the Mongols. This act is consider insanely sacrilegious to harm as ambassador are "as sacred and inviolable" as the Great Khan himself.

He literally took it personally and he took it too the next level wiping them from history by being extra bloody, leveling entire cities, and throwing their books into the river.

F*king hard to play civ. You have to be always purely aware of the entire map. There is no relief until the game ends

They really need to fix unpacking buildings. There shouldn't be a civ where unpacking your town centre at the start can literally make you rage quit. It's the worst with harvesting wood. Villagers walking past a Ger being set up will stop it deploying and it's right the way back to the town centre for those guys. And don't get me started on moving the gold drop off landmark.
