Is it okey to start another antibiotic after 2 weeks from the previous? I am 23 weeks and i was given cephalexin 500mg TID x 7 days but my UA result worsen and my OB advised for another antibiotic🥺.. thank you

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and have had 4 UTI’s during this pregnancy. I have been prescribed macrobid each time and the first few days of the medication are horrible for me. Headaches, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain.
Do you have any recommendations for all of this to stop? 😢

I had to go to the ER due to bleeding & thank God baby is ok, but the HR is still in the 180’s & they found some batería in my UA results. I read your comment from 2 years ago stating that Macrobid was generally safe, but after I read a recent article (March 2022) it stated that it had negative side affects to the baby’s brain development if taken during the first trimester. I took one before reading that, & I guess I got so anxious and scared, I ended up throwing up after about 30-40ish min. My OB here is not the best, could I have a second opinion?

Hello ,i have uti from a month my dr prescribe me 2 day tablet and cranberry extract juice for infection i take it for a week after that i again infected by it and idk from where discharge is coming from uterus or from urinary tract M 28 weeks pregnant and i m very worried ,last time i had expire my baby at 28 weeks because of that reason my dr gave my progesterone tablet to insert in uterus for 10 days after using that tablet i think this infection starts plz tell me what i have to do I want to delivery my baby safe and heathly😢❤

My doctor prescribed amoxicillin to me but after looking a studies online it is shown that it is linked to an increased chance of a cleft platelet when taking it in the first trimester. I am so livid because there are other antibiotics that would’ve been better to use I don’t know why she prescribed this.

Hi I hope u read my message so I am little prone to uti , u had uti in my first pregnancy which was asymptomatic and I went to spontaneous labour as my cervical cerclage failed and few doctors said it might have happened due to infection too my babies didn’t survive
Now after 1.5 years am 6 weeks pregnant with recurrent uti since 1 month bacteria has been changing I am losing my mind this uti is not going am scared of losing this pregnancy too my gynaecologist had prescribed niftas yet no help gave me fosfomycin for a day yet no relief am drinking 5 litres of water cranberry juice I practice all hygiene necessary yet it’s not going am scared to death now
Is there any chance of having uti and carrying ti full term ? I don’t see any hopes

-Azithromycin tabs
-Cefixime tabs use 200mg
-Paarpin 650 paracetamol tabs
-Gynanfort pessaries to insert.

Please are the above meds safe?

Im 14 weeks pregnant and I been having chronic UTI’S I do not even have serious symptoms only peeing in small quantities. I have gone to the Doctor and he basically only has me taken Cephalexin For 10 days. It keeps returning. I also get VG and the same Doctor keeps prescribing vaginal creams and then I keep getting it. I don’t want to loose my baby as this is my rainbow pregnancy. I lost my 1st baby due to Choriomnitis at 23 weeks. What can I do? I drink lots of water, avoid bad food, sugars.
