My build was based around the dashmaster lol

Having one extra notch would be so nice, we’d be able to use qslash strength shamans steady body and then something like spell twister, dashmaster, sharp shadow (ew), shape of unn, or my personal favourite, nmg AND dreamwielder
As it is rn, it’s really only the last notch that you get much choice over if you’re trying to be optimal, which is a bit unfortunate

Dash master and sharp shadow, the only reason I beat king grim

I'm stuck at this nightmare fucking king Grimm.

I just recently started playing Hollow Knight and I like seeing these videos because if gives me some insight into what the community thinks about certain charms, as I have no clue whether they're good or not

For combat, I 100% agree with this. Most attacks are dodgeable by the knight already, and the only instance I can think of where it could be useful is in colosseum of fools, but it is super risky there as lots of the waves, especially Trial of the Fool, have spikes on the ground that you could dash into. There are almost no bosses where it could be useful at all. Mabye it could be used in lost kin to avoid his aerial horizontal dash? Thinking of that example took me ages anyway, and it is not worth the 2 notches. It is really good in explaoration and traversing Hallownest - it is in my main ‘travel’ build.

Dash master also gives you more move speed, but only if you equip sprint master which gives +25%, but if you have both dashmaster and sprint master you get +40%

Dash master should increase the normal dash length by 1.75x and shade dash by 1.25x, but cost 3 notches. It would be so much more worth it and three notches for some great normal dash length along sharp shado would be insane

Well, the dash master is good for downward dash slash which is a bit tricky to pull of but useful in some cases but hardly ever it is used.

from my personal experience it's very useful for the soul tyrant bossfight, as it allows you to get more nail hits in because you can traverse faster

you also forget that you can perform a dash slash after dashing downwards, making it WAY easier to pull off that usual

Dash Master has a god tier sinergy with sharp shadow and nailmasters glory, as it can let you dash down but you can still use your dash slash. It's a powerfull combo that can let you hit enemies even more far away to keep distance. You could also put Fury of the fallen to make it even more powerfull with your nail arts. This combo can let you cheese some bosses like nothing, and I really mean it!

The only problem is that half the time I accidentally down dash into something

Dashmaster can help with nkg specifically the balloon attack on assended or radiant

Last time I heard, Dash master actually increases the damage done by Sharp Shadow. So, that means that with the both of them equipped, you deal the same amount of damage as your nail and then some extra damage too. Add Fragile/Unbreakable Strength, and then you’ve got a much meaner Shade Dash for dealing with tricky bosses and enemies.

You can do a stationary charged dash slash by dashing downwards before releasing your nail, so that's a pretty good way to use it.

Did you know if you kill every enemy in the game you fight the charm, I haven’t played the fight myself but I hear it’s a bad time.😅

You are wrong about one thing... It does have significant combat capabilities all due to the downwards dash it offers.

You may think I'm crazy because.. what can you do with a downwards dash?. Simple. Instead of attacking with the Great Slash when fighting. You can Use the downwards Dash and follow it with a Dash Slash.

Not only does the Dash Slash deal more Damage than the Great Slash.

But this also eliminate the downside of needing Space to use the Dash Slash. Making it really useful to beat bosses
