My favorite Vera episode because a young man that no one thought was capable saved the day.

I love this series, but three black actors, one an alcoholic, the daughter takes drugs, another man also a criminal. I would like to see more positive roles for minorities (and I am Caucasian). I remember a good episode about an East Indian family, and it was the same thing. Do better, be balanced.

The heartwarming end to each episode tickles me no end. Always involves a young person and a further revelation about Vera herself. Now if I could just crack the code on who gets called "pet" and who's a "luv"...

Vera does some stupid shite in the end. Unarmed, alone wth the true killer.. Serious!? But I'll take her over any shoot em up scenes lol

I like the show and all the actors, but I think the quality of the screenplays has taken a deep dive; viz., the shooter shouting "I love her" was far from convincing, and as nice as it was for Vera to give the young man Lucky Lass, he was into astronomy, not dogs. The last few episodes have been problematic. Bad script writing.

Seen few mixed married couples in these series, not so good looking wives married to rich guys!

I tried to watch Vera but what I got was a long ad. And occasionally a program for a minute and a half between commercials.

There can two hundred police personnel investigating a crime but only Vera finds a key piece of evidence

THank you for so many enjioyable hours.

And the dog, Lucky, lives up to her name moving into a nice family, in a good neighborhood! Nice ending!

It isn't unusual when Vera's had an especially heart-breaking, nerve-wracking case for her to go directly to someone involved and do something thoughtful and generous. What a great way to cope with a tough job or a stressful day!

solo confrontations w men who've already done multiple murders
instead of going in w/ backup
it's not just unprofessional, it's a dangerous nasty habit she needs to
cease + desist
she even had Kenny cussin' this time
