You've been doing great coverage of a range of marine operations, so do you have plans to become a deck officer?
ОтветитьI'm not in the industry but love your videos. This didn't get explained. What's the outside water mister for? Thanks!
ОтветитьWhere would I know such details from? But Joe the sea wolf told it well. Thanks bro!
ОтветитьThere's carbon monoxide monitors too I'm sure??
ОтветитьOuuuuu, no ventilation! Bet is get stinky with terror filled sweat! 😅 claustrophobic that I am, beats getting eaten by sharks. A couple of Ativan before getting on………
ОтветитьHi. Just discovered you and love your adventures. I particularly enjoyed the life boat videos....many thanks from an 'armchair adventurer'
ОтветитьGreat job Jeff!
ОтветитьA really interesting tour, many thanks!
Ответить😳Wow. Just wow. That was indeed something to see.
ОтветитьGreat stuff Joe 👏 👍 👌
Ответитьadd piece of sand paper to your safety kit because if you do have corrosion on a flash light you can just scrape it a bit and tada just like new again
ОтветитьAnother brilliant video
Ответить👍🏻 Thank You!
I’ve been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 30+ years now and, despite the fact my department is 2nd due rescue for a large port on the East Coast of the USofA…. I’ve never actually seen the inside of a “Life Boat” (other than antiquated B&W photos in our training books).
Just wanted to express my appreciation.
Brother, you are some kind of story teller. The content, editing, and music.
Whatever life has in store for you, please keep telling stories.
Man, that’s a tight place if someone just so happened to have a stomach virus or $h*t in their pants on the free fall. I’m 6’7’’ 275, that would be intense and have to be psychologically stable or get tied up outside so you could pitch a fit. I can’t believe that engine in that thing, that’s a high tech unit. Thanks Joe, great video, I watch them all, and never comment, but this one I have always wondered, you know just curious about it. Take care, stay safe.
Ответитьin other words, its filled with Dollar General crap.
ОтветитьIf you're bringing cans of beans you should have Beano
Ответитьlit af ! is that a tanker ship ?
ОтветитьSo how much fuel is on board for the Lifeboat and how long can a crew survive in it
ОтветитьWow, that’s amazing 😮!
ОтветитьWas that dehydrated water? 😂 lmfao
ОтветитьI was in the US NAVY so I’m familiar with being at sea for extended days. I’ve crossed the Atlantic and sailed in the med Thank you for showing the life of a Merchant mariner. My father spent Time in the merchant marine but he passed away before I got out of the navy. I never got a chance to ask him anything. You have showed me so much of what his life was like at sea. Thank you so much. Reidar Clausen
ОтветитьHum, these lifeboats are set up wonderfully. But I think it would all be lost on me if I were in a ship I just had to abandon. I would probably abandon all common sense and embrace fear and panic. Just being real.
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. But we’re do we go to take a shit. 💩
ОтветитьI wonder why none of the first aid kits in these lifeboats contain trauma gear. Maybe they do, and it's just never showed for some reason, but I think that's definitely something they should include.
Ответитьbest lifeboat you've got is the one with your bunk in it. Mind your navigation, maintenance, and HOUSEKEEPING!
ОтветитьHey Joe,
When on the bridge is there a watch for any ships, rafts adrift? The reason I ask is I helped sail a 82’ haft rig catch from Kauai to Sausalito and we got hit by a rouge wave and laid us flat on the starboard side. The ship righted itself but our old satnav got busted and didn’t real know where we were. I soldered the pc board and got it working after a few days but we were the only ship out there.
96 oz of water total?
ОтветитьMy partner is asleep, he’s 6”9 so tomorrow I’m going to have to break it to him that he can’t be a sailor because he won’t fit in the lifeboat? He’s going to be devastated he can’t stop teaching and go for a life at sea 😂
We have some extremely tall friends the tallest is 6”11, it would be quite funny to watch them trying to fit in a nine emergency situation. They have to duck a lot to go through doors, but those locking doors on a ship with kind of a step never look tall. I’m sure there’s a proper term for those doors, please enlighten me if anyone knows
Thanks Geoff, that was really interesting, though I’m not considering a change of career 😁
ОтветитьAwesome to see and learn about one of those.., wish gave us little more info on the motor size, power, and most importantly how much fuel do you have in there exactly is my biggest question.,,, but otherwise thanks for a pretty good video.
ОтветитьI get that comfort is not a priority on this thing but, damn! That seat looks horrible and the small amount of foam for the cushion is not nearly enough. How the heck do you sleep in the thing if necessary?
ОтветитьOMG where's the head. Hopefully no one has to take a Dump. I guess you pee out the door or hang your Bum out the door and use ocean water to clean up. 😅
Ответить💯👌
ОтветитьIs like a rollercoaster when that lifeboats gets dropped.
ОтветитьDo big cargo ships also have dinghies for like say if you see someone floating out there on a tire, or a water logged sailboat, and you need to rescue them? Or just to get to shore when you want to.
ОтветитьLifeboats should have hand crank charging batteries. Never run out of electricity that way. Should also include some kind of foot pedal driven propeller system in case the engine fails.
ОтветитьI could have lived without the repetetive music. Thanks for the video and ambient sound.
ОтветитьI wonder how many hours you have to spend in marine mechanic training to be certified on a lifeboat? I know the IMO requires all lifeboat pilots to be proficient in marine powertrain maintenance, and to become certified on a particular lifeboat you have to be able to take apart the whole engine and transmission and reassemble it from memory.
ОтветитьThese lifeboats were definitely not designed by westerners, since not many of us can pull off the full squat required to even be remotely comfortable in these things. Thanks for the video!!

ОтветитьWhhhhhy thank you Joe as always I love it...Remind me to get a job hiding in the Steward area making food if I join yall😁
ОтветитьI wouldn't hurt to throw a few boxes of Twinkies in there.
ОтветитьLegit question… so, if you’re an American ship - now I guess an American lifeboat… and you get lost at sea and then another countries ship finds you… like… a country that doesn’t particularly like Americans.. what are the chances they hurt you or just choose not to pick you up?
ОтветитьWhy does it have to slide off something so high just that will traumatize you !!
Ответить❤ không nên đùa giỡn với khẩu phần ăn cứu sinh như vậy ❤ không có nó bạn sẽ không tồn tại trên biển khơi ❤
ОтветитьThat background music loop quickly gets pretty unnerving!
ОтветитьLove your voice and videos
First class
Wht a joke .they got band aids I'm sure that's all the survivors would need
