This is actual advice instead of what I’ve heard before like “avoid buying those foods you binge on all together” I’m not trying to stop eating those foods I just wanna enjoy them like a normal eater would 😭 it’s harder than it seems and I do tend to unintentionally skip breakfast, but thank you so much for your tips they’re very helpful!

ОтветитьA thing that has helped me get home from work without being completely starving is packing a morning snack on top of my lunch meal. I bring skyr yogurt with granola and have it at 11, then eat lunch at around 1-2 PM and when I get home at 6, even if I haven't eaten in about a minimum of 3 hours like before, I feel fuller and more satisfied. I used to arrive home STARVING and would eat everything on sight.

You were talking about an eating structure of when to eat and not skipping meals but sometimes at breakfast I’m not hungry and I really don’t want food and other days I am hungry for breakfast. What do I do about that do I make 2 plans one with breakfast and one without?

ОтветитьYUP!! Every time I notice the binge/restrict cycle acting up, I immediately start mechanical eating. All meals and snacks at the same exact time everyday, it takes my subconscious out of the mindset that we are starving and need to eat everything now as there may not be food later, keeps me satiated thru the day so there’s less of an urge to overeat at night, and provides a level of self-love and security that really combats the shame and negative self talk that’s at the core of a lot of my disordered eating habits. ❤️ love this advice!

ОтветитьI've been losing weight from intermitted fasting. I lost 25-27 lbs. I try not only eat for 8 hrs tome frame and no food ( water tea coffee) for 12 hrs.

ОтветитьShe’s right cause I wanted to lose weight and all I did with my diet is cut snacks and regularly eat 3 balanced meals, lost 30lbs. (which is all I needed to lose)
Besides losing weight, I felt sick less often, had more energy, and cured my constant headache for the past 7 years!

Which seems like such a small thing but it’s just become a habit to the point where it feels wrong to not binge. But i’ve had three meals and two snacks the last couple days with no intense restriction <3

ОтветитьAs a kid I thought everyone ate 5 times a day, because in Finland that is taught to be the "normal" amount of meals to eat in a day. But being online has made me feel more insecure about it, it's content like this that helps me remember that this is something that works for me, and that there is nothing wrong with it❤
ОтветитьNo this has helped me so much. I still struggle but it lets my brain know that there will still be food the next day and It builds trust so I feel no need to binge.
ОтветитьThis could not be more true. What helped me quit binge eating was making self-care a priority. I cook for myself now. I plan what I am going to eat the next day. I just give myself the love and care that I've always craved, and that seems to have healed the wounds in my soul that caused binge eating. I am, of course, not perfect and slip-ups happen. But they are just that - slip-up and not the regular thing.

ОтветитьI just don't understand eating between 3-5 meals a day unless they're small portions, but a curry for example, is going to be one meal, then there's curry for the next 3 days again, then I'm stuffed and can barely eat a thing after that, so unless I only ever snack all the time, proper full meals are out. I've alone, I don't get what you're all eating. I can't eat so many tines a day, just a meal then a sandwich later on
