ОтветитьSeminole winds
ОтветитьSong by John Anderson
ОтветитьOne of my favorite songs even till this day and a great video. I have the video CD and the music CD just got done watching the music and video and I think back now that John Anderson said that the ashes were spewed up by the helicopter while filming the video today it could be filmed by a drone. Just shows you how times have changed and John Anderson still is a great Florida man. Grew up about 40 mi from where this was filmed and I still love airboats which I used to have. Not the same Florida anymore sad to say
ОтветитьThis song used to scare me when CMT Throwback Thursday played this on my TV in April 2016 late at Thursday night. I enjoy it now

ОтветитьFor all the ignorant people that trash on country music and say that all the musicians sing about is their trucks and dog dying. There’s real folks like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and John Anderson that sing the truth❤️👊🪶🇺🇸

ОтветитьNovember 2, 2024 To Governor Ron DeSantis, Governor State of Florida, This song in dedication to the patience this State Governor had while I was a Florida resident, five years with me & Governor was so patient in spite of every obstacle, I was still permitted to reside in Florida ! There are so many people who reside in Florida because of protection of the Florida wildlife is pretty much why we stay there enduring so much difficulties residing outdoors. I am now in South Carolina & am trying to make an inquiry of some of the tough outdoors people, to make sure they are doing okay, so I am sending this letter to our Governor Ron DeSantis, thank you ! In Saint Augustine the guys there seem to have the city divided into districts, other city's like Palm Ciast Florida mainly has only one guy guarding the district. Vilano Beach also mainly has only one guy guarding the district. I have been trying for so much time to honor a few of the men of Saint Augustine, Florida who relentless stay in one same place every day just to guard their place in Saint Augustine, Florida, so I am going to let Governor Ron DeSantis give these honors to these men. I have been trying for a while now to purchase Indian TP for four of these guys, just to decorate the city & also that they have their official role in being apart of Saint Augustine. I seen these unusual Tents at Walmart, are replica Indian TPs. I have been trying to get these unusual Tents for four of these guys of Saint Augustine, One man name is Carlos & he is always everyday at the corner US Highway # 1 & King Street the other guy name is Scott, he is everyday at Lowes, Dollar Tree guarding this part of his district, another one of these guys stays everyday at the Family Dollar Store on US Highway # 1 his name is Bernard, another one of these men, another one of these Saint Augustine men stays at the Laundry at the Winn Dixie on Lewis Speedway. I think that it would be really nice that each if each of these guys be presented with an Indian TP from Governor Ron DeSantis ! Thank you ! Kathleen Loudenslager 386-241-8258
ОтветитьThis song and video appropriately respects the natives of Florida, and the natives of America. Nowadays conservative news would label this song "liberal propaganda". How far we've fallen as a nation.
Ответитьvery indigenous of him.
Ответитьi was born and raised in florida grew up with my dad hunting and fishing in the swamps,,,,,, john is from a town about 50 miles from my home town,,,,,, this songs brings back memories of my dad and the good times we had,,,, i wish i could do it all again....
ОтветитьMiss my line dancing and friends. We use to dance to this and many 90s songs
ОтветитьIm not from Florida, im from Idaho..ive seen vast forests reduced to clear cuts, mighty rivers dammed and many species decimated... Shameful
ОтветитьNever heard this song before band mates suggested it because people love it so much, I can see why.
ОтветитьSeminole natives are my friends I've seen there
ОтветитьSeminole are my friends
ОтветитьIt's a shame how the white man broke so many promises to the natives
ОтветитьButtercups i love you and I will miss you
ОтветитьApril 25 2025
Is Mr Anderson still alive? And is he native American?
I never knew that this song I loved to hear so much had such a sad story behind it 😢 so many native American have had so much taken from them 😡 it infuriates me so. I am just a Heinz mix. Mostly just basically a white person. No one has taken from the Native Americans more than the White ppl!!!! I am ashamed 😔 they give us/me a bad name. My husband is Native American 😊
God bless the Native Americans 🙏💜 and everyone else💜
one day i wana taste gater
ОтветитьThis song turned me on to country music tear me up every time
ОтветитьI was going through and trying to build a playlist of country songs from my childhood that I loved… this song came up. I sang along with it but for the first time I understood the lyrics. Thank you John Anderson for being a voice for the oppressed even back in the early 90s.
