It's fifteen years since I last trod the banks of this old estate lake, and four decades since I first cast a line in its mysterious waters.
I was under the impression that all the inhabitants had perished due to a leaking dam, but it seems that a few survived and that just enough water remained to support them.
I made a return visit armed with a bucket of stewed wheat, a few slices of bread, a 100yr old Allcocks Aerial, and a split cane rod to see if I could tempt a true Galician Carp from the water that I long considered as my own private Redmire.
