BTW Peter, couldn't catch you live. I know you're not fond of the idea of amateur drivers in WEC, however that business is only there in GT category. The Hypercar class is mostly factory teams with professional drivers. Platinum rated. Amateur Drivers are not allowed in Hypercars. They aren't even eligible. As of 2025 there are only 2 privateer Hypercars. The Afcorse Ferrari and Proton Competetion Porsche. They also have to field professional drivers who have the highest FIA rating.

If you want a proper competition, just allow teams that build their own ICE

No amount of money would have tempted Adrian Newey to join Ferrari. Remember the Senna trials? Yeah, I don't think for one minute he'd want to live in Italy.

I ran in Austria years ago where the chicane up the hill at the end of the straight was very good racing. And then out amongst the cows in the fields to the left of the circuit. After that then a right down the hill which connected to the current circuit making the stadium right turn more interesting than todays " amateurish"-like boring track.
