The way your truck is set up is pretty sweet now especially in bad weather like that rain storm.
ОтветитьI've never picked up leeches by hiking trails. Yikes. I hate them too. You and Ash make a great team. Coolest young ladies in Aussie Land.
😄🥰
In the original (in Polish) the name of this mountain is pronounced quite differently. It's a Polish last name. Greetings. 🇵🇱
ОтветитьThanks Molly you are amazing I am seeing so much of OZ I would never have seen! You've become an expert on 4WD too. Power to you!
ОтветитьLove all those peaks you featured
Ответить🐍 only a matter of time. 😈
Ответить🧢🕶 what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. 👍
ОтветитьGreat one your friend is a real slave driver. It sur e I could cope with the snakes and leaches well done
ОтветитьAs far as crossing rivers, you do have a snorkel, are you afraid to get the moldixmobile dirty? 😜
ОтветитьThaddeus Kosciuszko is a name I’m very familiar with. He was a Polish General who fought on the American side during our Revolutionary War in 1776. He was a brilliant military strategist who helped us win the war. I wonder how he’s related, if at all, to the person who the mountain you’re climbing is named after?
ОтветитьMount Bartle Frere almost killed me. I couldn't imagine climbing another 400m
ОтветитьNo need to risk your life 👙🦎 careful
ОтветитьGood thing about NZ,you only have Sandflies to deal with, they are quite nasty little buggers though.
ОтветитьWell done and leaches they are dirty sucker and yes I thought there was a easier way but noway as adventurous .
ОтветитьHey, nice feet. ;)
ОтветитьWell done girls , great effort and good scenery .
ОтветитьI'll do without leeches.
ОтветитьAwsome. Hope you have a happy holiday.
ОтветитьMaybe you should try hiking in a bikini. That would be pretty cool.
ОтветитьLeeches are little buggers 🤣
ОтветитьI injoyed it 😅. See you on the next one mate. Thank you for showing me beautiful places to check out.
ОтветитьMany years ago we went on a lazy bushwalk up to the Snowies and camped at the luxurious Lake Albina . One problem - spiders - in fact they were a thing called Alpine Funnelwebs. Not very aggro but a bit of a worry as there were lots of them and they get into tents and everything. Not sure whether they are venomous to this day.
You do encounter snakes up in the top country (copperheads at least) and one of our mates was bitten up there. No comment but not funny.
If you liked this walk then another walk in the mud and slug ascent vein if South Coast Tasmania walk. This takes about 7 days and one day is climbing the Ironbound Range which is very steep and goes from sea level to over 4000 feet. And you have to wallow in ankle deep mud on the ascent as you (and worse) do for the rest of the walk. Same there - you'll need to do it in Summer due to weather conditions and you can worry about snakes too.............copperheads and tiger snakes..............
Great job on the hike Molly Mud Shoe 😜 Two snakes, spiders, and freaking leeches! Yuk! Glad those obstacles didn’t stop you from making it to the top. Check it off your list! Glad you had Ash back for this hike. Remember her from last year I believe. Celebrating Christmas here in Florida. Merry Christmas to you, and until the next vid, stay safe!
ОтветитьYou girls are funny as 😂😂😂 for future reference salt will make leeches drop off you almost instantly, I always carry a few little packets from a fast food restaurant or from my camping pantry 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
ОтветитьWhat a great Adventure! Great Job!
ОтветитьI hope you had a joyful Christmas with family or friends love from England uk
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the trek. Great views and great country.
Ответитьheaps madddddddddddddd
ОтветитьWell done girls, great to know about the stomping and pushing the sticks on the ground to frighten the snakes, and both bcf and anaconda sell emergency beacons you can carry around in your pocket just in case you injure yourself or if you get bitten, with these beacons all you have to do is press the button and emergency services will find you
Ответитьi can see an awning being install soon
ОтветитьMolly and Ash use proper hi-cut hiking boots when doing this not asics running shoes.
ОтветитьAwesome videography Molly, great Ep, thnx
ОтветитьI really enjoy watching your channel. I field target archery in the bush (Various places in NSW and also ACT) I carry salt with with me because I have leeches, and bushmans is a must!
Ответитьthanks for more content !!!
ОтветитьHi Molly Loved this episode except the Spiders and ewwww the leaches LOL but other then that I Loved it 💗
ОтветитьYou are a rock star Molly!! I bet you slept well after that!
ОтветитьYou can't claim to have summited Kosciuszko without doing it via Hannel's Spur. Congrats on doing it properly, and in one day! Took me two days, same with Bartle-Frere which I actually thought was harder. You should do the highest summit in each state!
Ответить❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьBeautiful up top! I'm amazed at the walkways so high up the mountain!
ОтветитьHey Molly, another great video. I was wondering how cold the water has to be where it’s not safe for you
ОтветитьI hiked Kosciuszko back in October ‘99, not too many spiders and leeches yet that year as there were still snowfields at the top that spring. How surprised was I though to see poisonous snakes up near the tree line, only in Australia! It was that year also that three young men died in a snow camping accident and rescue services were still conducting body recovery searches. Because I’d descended off-trail across large a snowfield, they inquired if I’d seen anything unusual. I found out later that they suffocated when their snow cave entry collapsed, and I must have passed darn close to their final campsite. A sad epilogue to what was otherwise an excellent solo adventure.
ОтветитьThird leg?... Natural talent here :)
ОтветитьIt is very nice there and thank you for your lovely video !
ОтветитьYou sure picked one of the hardest routes
ОтветитьDrive on over to Canada mates, we have rocky mountains to offer you.
ОтветитьLeeches I can handle, snakes and spiders are a whole different set of problems for me. These ladies are. BRAVE!!
ОтветитьAustralia has some of the most dangerous and weird wildlife on earth. North america where i live has some dangers, but is easy mode when compared with australia.
ОтветитьSo funny when I imagine my local mountain on my doorstep, the Pilatus mountain, which is a few meters lower, about 80-100 meters, than Australia's highest mountain, it's a strange idea! And my local mountain, the Pilatus, is not even that high if you go towards the highest, which is basically twice as high at almost 4000 meters! But my smaller local mountain has the steepest cogwheel railway in the world up to the Pilatus Kulm 😉🤘🏻🤗! Greetings from 🇨🇭 Switzerland
ОтветитьIn spite of rumours to the contrary, Mount Kosciuszko is far from the highest peak”in Australia” being classified by Moreton Peak and several others.. Cool video ☕️🦘🦘🦘
