here's an idea for the other room, make a zulu wars type rorkes drift command base
ОтветитьIkea desks for a gaming table is a great idea that I'd love yo try, what desk model did you use?
ОтветитьOk, now to just flood it and add the rats!
ОтветитьThat's awesome! How much was the vintage WW1 map?
ОтветитьWell done! At ease, men!
ОтветитьIt looks great but you really should be up to your knees in mud!
Another thing, how inflammable is that foam packing stuff?
Cool!
Hopefully you don't get gassed.
Looks amazing!
ОтветитьFoam packing peanuts was not a perfect idea. They emit highly toxic fumes if burning and readily light. The fumes from burning polystyrene can fell you faster than you can get out of the space, and disorient you with clouds of black smoke. Not something I'd put in a basement. YMMV.
ОтветитьThat a Greek pillar?
ОтветитьLove it! One question do you not have to adhere to Fire Regulations as those sand bags wouldn't pass muster 👍
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьThe magic of friendship
ОтветитьImpressive, very impressive!
ОтветитьGreat idea.
All you need is Baldrick and a few rats for that truly authentic look.
Best bit is the interactions between you guys
ОтветитьI like these club construction update videos! They give me ideas for my own eventual gaming space. You guys should call this series "Better Homes and Bunkers" lol
ОтветитьNow need to hide little rubber rats in the videos for that authentic feel
ОтветитьI used that exact same Ikea adjustable table as my desk from late high school all the way through college, and a few years after! Almost a decade of heavy usage! Great choice! Good quality table/desk
ОтветитьIt's looking good 🤠🤠👍👍
ОтветитьPlease use eye protection when using a miter saw! Safety squints don't always cut it
ОтветитьAmazing work guys! So jealous 😮
ОтветитьCool! I'd maybe run a rod across the opening and place some "blackout drapes" for light discipline!
ОтветитьNot sure if you already have plans for the last space, but cold war nuclear planning room (Thinking Dr. Strangelove) would be cool. Could get expensive though.
ОтветитьWhat ever happened to Keith???
ОтветитьWas the sketch of the Empire galley from Man o' War?
ОтветитьMan Trench
ОтветитьGoing through the list of practical things the channel could use the room for, the only thing you guys could possibly have want of is a dedicated closed off area to film players talking about the battle and to do reviews and whatnot. My suggestion is to do some skeuomorphism and make it look like a Cold War era underground recording station for a resistance group. Go get some old used radio and audio/recording equipment. Throw up some resistance group flags, some weapons and equipment, maybe a few propaganda posters, and some chairs for people to sit in.
ОтветитьUnless your Tugg Speedman ... never, never go full Prepper!
Ответитьthat feel like world war 2 office?
ОтветитьSee, ya'll say that the most expensive thing you put in that basement build is the pool light, but I'm reasonably sure that that PPSh-41 under the window is several times as expensive as everything else in this build combined.
(Good build. As for the other half, remember the first rule of set building: if it doesn't show up in the shot, you don't need to spend time on it.)
Since weight is not an issue in the basement, I would have used sand in the sand bags. Or a sand rubber mulch mix. Once you have access to sand bags, they get used a lot.
ОтветитьVery cool, well done chaps! 🪖
ОтветитьLooks good and a perfect ambience for 20th century games. What was the final price tag for the cosmetic renovation?
ОтветитьMake everyone lose their collective shite and do the other half as as a grimdark future Warhammer room 🤣
ОтветитьNeed to do this to my basement.
ОтветитьWhere did you all get your maps? Is there a specific vendor you have?
ОтветитьSand bag idea is brilliant. One thought is to add one brick to each bag to provide the weight. The overall look is museum quality and is stunning in appearance. This film inspires me to "up my game" in my basement war game room. Finally, what a wonderful place to sip on a wee dram of single malt scotch.
ОтветитьGreat job ! 😃👍🏻
ОтветитьDale is that a County shirt you have on……
ОтветитьCool I like your Great War bunker.
ОтветитьSo freaking cool.
ОтветитьGuys, that turned out great!
ОтветитьVery talented crew.
ОтветитьAny tips on convincing your spouse to let you convert a room in the house to have a sandbag wall? I need a Little Wars scotch glass too!
ОтветитьLooking good!
ОтветитьGreat job.
ОтветитьWhen I was in training, our Colour Sergeant would have us taking that sandbag wall down and starting again: far to many seams on the sandbags showing! Lol.
