class video lad, its a great looking watch.
ОтветитьWell done 👍 looks awesome, I absolutely love the case, and good pick with the movement, I can see lots of people doing this mod, and for the money your getting a solid awesome looking watch with added bonus of saying down the pub(or wherever) "yep I made it myself,. That's gotta look good and feel good..lol.cheers
Ответитьjust a bit of advice on the second hand. I've built 3 ali mods so far and also struggled with the second hand. tweezers were a nightmare to use. i found rodico is really the key to lining up the hole on the second hand to the pin on the movement. also don't force it. line it up and when it starts ticking then you can press it. best of luck cant wait to see the diver and the v2 of this one
ОтветитьThe little metal "dress up" stickers that go over the automatic winding counterweight really do make a huge difference in the back of the watch. They're tough to get precisely aligned but if you get it right they look really good. If you want to shell out the $25 for a custom replacement counterweight - it's way easier to install and makes the back look even better.
Ответитьi can 100% tell you that, that glass is not sapphire crystal....
ОтветитьWhat a job mate!
ОтветитьYesterday, I finished my skeleton build.
I must admit that the case that you choose is not ideal.
Regarding skeleton movements, the alignments have to be nearly perfect, but the case has plastic housing of movement.
It makes case alignment roughly impossible.
I had to rethink my initial idea. I've used the homage submariner case and it fits ideally.
A case that you recommended, I've used for a more traditional build with the full dial.
You'll find the builds to be addictive.. I did! 😃
ОтветитьI hope producing this video has made you appreciate how troublesome it is to construct a watch and perhaps you won't be so quick to criticise in future. "Take your time and don't get too frustrated" says the man who abandoned putting his second hand on. No hint of irony there eh?
ОтветитьHi. I need help building a watch and don’t know where to turn. Can you help?
ОтветитьGreat great vid. Question are the nh70 and nh70a the same?
ОтветитьQuestion! Will the nh72 movement fit a 41mm case?
ОтветитьI got into this a few months ago. My top tip is but a watch like a no logo Tondorio for around £4o. then just add dial or hands, it works out so much cheaper and that crown fits!! There are also real classy manual wind eta watches for 50 to 70. look up movement and you will find hands to fit if needed.
Ответитьvery inspiring! 👍
ОтветитьA lot of times they send the wrong second hand. That's why it doesn't go on. 😉
ОтветитьGreat video, I just filled my AliExpress basket. I am just wondering, do I need to buy an extra O-Ring? And how do I know which diameter/size and thickness I need?
ОтветитьGreat advice. Thank you
ОтветитьHow long do items take to arrive ? Haven't you had any problems with the sellers ? I've been wanting to build a watch for a long time
ОтветитьThis is great! I've been wanting to do it and it's exactly the video I was looking for
ОтветитьSeconds hands are a nightmare for the first builds, it’s the tiniest pin that needs to be lined up and it the hand doesn’t fit the same as the minute and hours, it kind of just floats on top. You’ll know it’s not on properly because; 1) it won’t tick obviously and 2) it’ll look every so slightly off centre 👍🏼
ОтветитьHe has no idea what he is doing, this is NOT how you assemble a watch.
ОтветитьThe seconds hand is the HARDEST part of building an AliExpress watch. I also destroyed one and it took me a long time to set the new one.
Ответитьwould be so nice with a pink seconds hand to match the heart.
ОтветитьWristwatch Revival is fantastic.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you
ОтветитьAmazing!
ОтветитьI liked subbed told my buddies to sub and sent to 5 people
Ответитьgreat content. you've earned a subscriber all the way from singapore
Ответитьi couldn't find the point to remove the movement and it broke inside, can you please tell me how to find that platform that you were talking about, i have ordered a new movement since this won't work
ОтветитьI am 14 and just built my first watch even though quartz, which I realise is much less impressive. Every part of the watch was from watches I had previously owned. I had no proper tools i just had a flat head and a safety pin for the whole thing. Everything worked out well but I couldn’t for the life of me put the second hand. I really hope that someday I can build a mechanical watch proper tools.
Ответитьi had to cut a dial down with tin snips to fit a case, the date window was slightly off but acceptable. parts are cheap enough so plough on....
ОтветитьNice Video but could someone give me a link (Aliexpress) for the extra stems used in this Video?
ОтветитьI never even considered this an option but now I so want to build my own watch. No. I WILL build my own watch. Thanks for the education, mate!
ОтветитьI didn't know this was possible. It gives great customization for cheap, and it is a really cool conversation starter.
ОтветитьA leather strap would really slap
ОтветитьCould you do a build of a ladies watch please.
ОтветитьLooks more like a nightmare watch
ОтветитьThere are some nice dials for the nh72 that follow the same pattern of the movement so you can still see into it. It would also fill that gap you seem to have between the movement and the bezel and just make it look a bit more finished.
Nice build though. It inspired a build I'm about to do!
heard your name as karen
ОтветитьAwesome video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Ответитьcan you easily tell the time of the watch? i cant
ОтветитьHello! I was thinking of bulding my first watch. How do I find the right gasket size? I was going to use a 33mm case
Ответитьi wonder, would a blacklight help find dust while you try to blow the dust away? just curious, i do plan to build my own watch in the future so this could help
Ответитьill wait for divers build watch
ОтветитьThanks for uploading this even though it looks meh. really appreciate the honesty.
ОтветитьWould love an update video on this watch!
Ответитьcotton bud
ОтветитьThis video inspired me to try and build my own watch.
I want to build a Skeleton watch and was thinking of using the 8N24 movement since i think it has more exposed parts :)
Is there a way i can find out what i need to order? For example if i need movement spacers and what kind of spacer i need etc etc.. :) Thanks in advance and keep up the videos <3
Thanks so much for this. Followed it through and made my first watch. Inspired by your skeleton vibe so made myself a Seamaster style skeleton. Pretty unique I think, loving having such an individual watch.
