Look, I get that Hawkeye and Black Widow seem out of place at times in these huge battles. But come on. He straight up complains as if them simply showing up for the fight is a bad thing. At least they're trying to help (and doing a great job of it!)
What's the alternative? They just stay home and watch the world end on TV? Turning down recruits like Falcon because "we don't need you, we already have Scarlet Witch"?
There isn't just one big fight. The avengers are super heroes. They are always saving the day, big world ending event or bank robbery- they need all the help they can get.

Coming into this way too late, but honestly, I can't condemn the Black Widow hate entirely. As someone who enjoys Black Widow in the comics and wanted her to be a super spy, the films do just use her like a generic superhero instead of playing to her strengths in espionage. She could be doing so much more, but instead they just give her increasingly ridiculous taser weaponry with 9mm pistols.
It actually annoys me thoroughly that even ScarJo was happy with the fact that the Black Widow standalone movie wasn't a spy film. Yeah, because that's what you want, a super spy who is anything but a super spy in her own title film.

I feel the need to rip this video apart but im getting ready for work as it is. So just the very first Sin BOTH of you got wrong. First off, you DO need to watch other MCU properties to figure out whats going on because:
-If you watched the movies in order then several questions arise such as:
the Avengers disbanded after the 1st movie they aren’t an organization last time we saw them so why now?

Thor was told he can go to Earth to be with Jane by a Loki pretending he to be Odin, but doesn’t explain why hes there
since they aren’t an organization

Tony retired from being Iron Man in Iron Man 3 but its never explained how hes back and why he has an army of suits after he destroyed them all in Iron Man 3

Hulk suddenly can be controlled atleast for coordinated assault and now can pacify him but no explanation as to when this happened or how

Unless you saw the after credits of Winter Soldier or Agents of Shield then you dont know who strucker is or why all of a sudden the Avengers, who reassembled for reasons no one has explained why or how they did, found him and basically the last operational Hydrabase.

That the Avengers having been taking down Hydra bases for months looking for the mind stone and only now have they found it but we don’t know exactly how this investigation started.



So now, neither one of you got it right but atleast EWW was right about one thing….this movie may self contained but none of the previous entries are setting uo shit that is resolved in an opening of a movie. Phase 2 the whole phase should’ve revolved around the world becoming used to the fact that Aliens exist, they are hostile and we have modern day gods to protect us. They didn’t, thats why Phase 2 with few exceptions sucks.

I'd like to point out too, with Hawkeye and Black Widow being "powerless", at what point do such incredible skills become "super powers?" So you are 10 times stronger than the average person, that's a super power, but having 10 times the aiming skill or 10 times the combat capability of your average person isn't a "super" power by definition?

Regarding the naming convention of "Age of Ultron", I'd say that there's another possible neat reading: it's the age that lead to the creation of Ultron and subsequent destruction he caused. He is a reflection of the hubris that produced him. The ending signifies the end of the superhero free reign, which later leads to Sokovia accords.

I LOVE hearing someone defending a movie I love. It doesn't matter how bad it is at times, especially the CGI of Thor grabbing things at the beginning, I still enjoy it because MOVIES ARE (or some of them are) MADE FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY. No matter how bad or good they are.
